I have lived at the *** at *** since March of Over the past three years I have had repeated issues with the HVAC system At least times the evaporator coil would freeze up (ice over) causing the air conditioner to stop working
During this three plus year period Southern Maryland Heating and Air, ***’s subcontractor, who installed the HVAC unit in my home, have made numerous service calls in an attempt to have the unit cool properly As they were the installers I believed they had an understanding of how to repair and correct the icing issue According to their service records and conversations with the techs from Southern Maryland they told me there was a valve problem that caused the coolant to leak and this is what would lead to the icing problem Even after the valve was replaced the icing issues occurred

This business is HORRIBLE they are rude the technician Hector acts as if it is a problem asking a question as if you are not to question what is saidThey came times and could not tell me what was wrong with my heat he came twice and the last time had an attitude and when questioned about why something was happening again with the heat for offensive and was already angry when he arrived because he had to come back then had the nerve to get on the phone while questions were being asked and start speaking in his language at that point yes we began to get rudeAnother incident occurred when my home warranty company called for a service call for air for Freon not realizing the name at that time they first said they couldn’t come out for days they are required to provide service within hours, then while I was speaking to my home warranty company they called twice during my call to set up an appointment for the next day then they never showed up as with the customer who complained beforeI told them previously to never send Hector back well they never showed, called canceled the appointment on the way to the call Why pick up a call and keep calling to set an appointment just to cancel it you should have never took it Also when he came he didn’t have a tool belt the last time didn’t check vents etc and took the cover off the heater and looked never touched anything they came out times another company came checked several things including all vents and it did get warmer and he answered questions and explained some things that’s what a good company does Also this Hector he is supposed to be one off the bosses of the business is this how a business should be represented horrible someone else came and did something and no problemsThey are just terrible and you should be able to speak English clearly and be able to answer questions without any attitudes in my opinion but apparently that’s how they run a company

We have been working with Southern Maryland Heating and Air to resolve multiple issues with an A/C unit starting with the first service call to our house on April At the time the A/C unit was inoperable and unable to cool the houseAfter service calls to the house, the company was finally able to return the A/C to operational order on May Immediately after we began receiving higher than usual electrical bills, with increases almost $higher than the previous year and the current average of our neighborhoodIn an effort to understand the issue, we contacted the electrical service provider who sent two technicians to our homeThe first checked the accuracy of the metering system and the second technician checked for possible home causesThe technician returned with a report that confirmed that our home and lifestyle were considered electrically efficient, and pointed the issue to malfunctions with the A/C unitI contacted Southern Home Heating and Air again on A
