For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Woodturningz.com president, Ryan P***, is trying to execute a thinly veiled strawman argument stating that I did not purchase the item in question, and that there is no discrepancy between what woodturningz.com advertised vswhat they soldTo eliminate any doubt, I have attached two documents to the complaint:A screenshot of my recpeipt showing that I indeed was the originator of the order for the item in dispute, purchased as part of a custom shaving brush order via *** ***, of *** in GermanyThis confirms that I was the order originator and selected the item in question, even if it was executed as part of a group buy via a third partyA screenshot of an email where *** ***, of *** in Germany, clearly states that the shipped item does not match what the woodturningz.com website displayed at the time of receiptThis confirms that the entity who placed and recieved the order on my behalf has agreed that the item received does not match the item advertised Because the item is worth $9.99, and the cost of shipping back to the USA would exceed its value, I would like to amend my request to have the seller (woodturningz.com) remove the misleading item photograph and replace it with a correct representation of the item.

Dear Revdex.com: We received your complaint ID [redacted]. The product that Mr. [redacted] has filed his complained about is displayed on our website depicting how it would look once turned and finished as this product is intended to be. Ryan explained to him that we spray the product with a clear acrylic spray on the blank for our photos to simulate how this would look when finished. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] is basing his opinions on a poorly shot photo of a spindle that has not been turned and finished. Each blank is cut with a saw so will not have a glossy finish until it is turned and finished on a lathe (as his 3rd party -[redacted]-intended to do). Each of these spindle blanks is custom and is poured individually so it will never look the same from one to another, however this actual color mix on this spindle has never changed. Swirling could vary from blank to blank depending on the pour. While we are disappointed that we have not able to satisfy Mr. [redacted], he did not purchase this product through us so we would not be able to reimburse him directly. We would only be able rectify this situation with the customer who bought and payed for it (this being [redacted]). We have never heard anything from Mr. [redacted] who paid for the blank. It is also our understanding that others in this “group buy” offered to buy this spindle from Mr. [redacted] since he wasn’t satisfied.   While we did not believe that the photo on the website was off base with some of our stock, we did update our photo on our website to show two different spindles where the swirl may look like other spindles on the shelves. We have strived for 14 years to provide high quality products and services to our customers. We have apologized to Mr. [redacted], offered to refund the product if he returned the current product, and offered a discount on a future purchase. Since none of these seemed to be satisfactory, please let us know what else can be done to satisfy Mr. [redacted]’s complaint.   Regards, Fritz M[redacted], Sales Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not understand what is so difficult for woodturningz to understand about this complaint. Their advertised photo grossly misrepresented what could be achieved with what is delivered. To further this point - I have attached two images:1. Woodturningz original imagery of the bronze #7 blank, showing what should be expected 2. A photo of the actual completed handle, made using the bronze #7 blank I orderedAs was clear to me from the start, and is still crystal clear: the item they originally advertised is not the same as what they ship for bronze #7. The original photo they used appears to be of their "copper" black instead.  Additionally, I don't know why different woodturningz employees answer this complaint each time. They are all saying the same thing, basically denying that there was ever a problem in the first place. In this instance we have a very uninformed salesperson suggesting that I should sell a $150 shaving brush (at a loss, and ship overseas) just to recoup a $10 handle cost. If this is truly his thought process, he shouldn't be answering these complaints. Simple math indicates he doesn't grasp the issue.The reason I am rejecting the complaint at this time is that when I verified that woodturningz had updated the representative photos of bronze, I still see two conflicting images. One appears to be the old incorrect version (probably copper) and one that appears to be the correct representation of bronze. If they'll just get that last photo updated, I'll close this complaint.
