Woodworker Express

I purchased an item from this company and found upon receiving it that it was the wrong item. I submitted a return request on Fri. 8/7/20, but never received a response. When I called the following day I found out that the company is closed on the weekends. When I called first thing Mon. morning I was told by ***, that he was short staffed on Friday and that's why I never got a response. I told *** that I wanted to return the item, but wasn't going to if I was responsible for return shipping. When I told him that the item I wanted to return was valued at $3.59, he told me that he didn't want the item back because it wouldn't be cost effective to do so. He stated that he would credit my credit card..Here is the email I received from *** on Tues. 8/11/20:Mary, Per our discussion yesterday. We have issued a credit back to your credit card for the cost of the merchandise purchased. Thank you, *** Customer Experience Manager Woodworker Express N28W23240 Roundy Drive Pewaukee, WI 53072 Two days later I received the following email from his return department***,
Your return request has been processed. You will be responsible for sending the merchandise back to us and the merchandise will have to be in resellable condition. You will receive a full credit back to your credit card for the merchandise once it is checked back into our inventory. Please print a copy of this email and place it inside the package with the merchandise. Your return authorization # is 5001144734 .Please ship to: Woodworker Express Attn: Returns Department 909 Forest Edge Drive

Here is the recent email I received from your return department. I suggest you inform this department of the agreement you made with me on Tues. 8/11/20 via email. I really don't wish to discuss this matter with you further. Your company failed miserably to respond to my return request, it's been nearly a week since I requested the return and you told me that you didn't want the item I purchased back because it wouldn't be cost effective for your company for me to return it. I clearly stated that since I was going to be responsible for the return shipping, that it wouldn't be cost effective for me to do so. The email you sent me clearly stated that my credit card had been issued a credit. Here's your exact statement: 8/11/20 at 12:55pm: Mary Per our discussion yesterday. We have issued a credit back to your credit card for the cost of the merchandise purchased. Thank you, *** Customer Experience Manager. I suggest you clear this matter up immediately. ***. To date, my credit card has not been credited and *** has not responded.

I ordered some hinges for my cabinets and they were the wrong kind so I sent them back to the address on the invoice. I have tracking and that it was delivered back to them. This office is closed from COVID19 so he (***) doesn't know who has it.Everyone has suffered in some way from this virus but you still should want to try and keep customers in the process. Looks like as a business someone would be checking on things or something. I sent these back 5/21/20 and they were delivered and signed for by a "L Olson" and *** says he doesn't know anyone by that name. I can't help that this office is not open. I just want my money back and to stop getting the run around.
