Thanks for letting us know about this complaint, as we would like to get it resolved as quickly as possibleBelow this initial message, I am going to copy and paste my entire email conversation with her prior to servicesIn there, we quoted her approximately $3-and the total bill came in at $because the work was done quicker than the ½ hours it usually takes to replace a cast iron stack with all new PVCWe explained to [redacted] that our labor charge includes travel time between our plumbing shop and the location of work, but she failed to mention that in her complaintAfter talking with the plumber who was out there, as well as other plumbers who saw the picture I attached in this email, and everyone (apprentices, journeymen, master plumbers) all agree that there is no way the work could be completed in minutes like was statedOur plumber, Darren, who was out there stated it took him slightly over an hour to fully cut out, piece by piece, the existing, corroded cast-iron stack and replace it with new PVCOn top of that, he had to add a studor vent for the kitchen sink as well which he added took an additional 15-minutesWe were out at the job before her scheduled appointment at o’clock, but Darren called us at wondering if he could get in early and we sent him over thereWith leaving at 12, including drive time for our standard labor charge, IF he did leave at 1:PM the job would account for a total of minutes, just shy of hours in terms of total laborThe biggest issue with us here, is that there is physically no possible way Darren could have completed his work in minutesRemoving cast iron stacks, especially corroded leaking ones, can easily take up to three hoursEven our most experienced plumber would need a full hour at the minimum to perform this workIn short, we fit a normally decently lengthed job into our schedule very quickly, we performed the job in less time than the 2-hours expected, we came in over $less than what we estimated her cost would be, and there are zero issues with the performance of the plumbing or the service provided by the plumberIn the email sent to us after [redacted] received her invoice, we tried to contact her and got her voicemail, but we also explained to her in person that labor does include travel timeTheoretically, with time of travel involved, she probably should have been charged up to a half hour MORE of labor but there was no return trip back to the shop as Darren moved on to another job in the areaPlease let me know what other information you would like from me as we would like to resolve this as appointment for service was at 1pm; Dan arrived a bit early for the appointment, maybe or so minutes early Dan started the work shortly after arriving, and I noted that when he informed me know the Thanks for letting us know about this complaint, as we would like to get it resolved as quickly as possible. Below this initial message, I am going to copy and paste my entire email conversation with her prior to services. In there, we quoted her approximately $3-350 and the total bill came in...

at $218.44 because the work was done quicker than the 2 ½ hours it usually takes to replace a cast iron stack with all new PVC. We explained to [redacted] that our labor charge includes travel time between our plumbing shop and the location of work, but she failed to mention that in her complaint. After talking with the plumber who was out there, as well as other plumbers who saw the picture I attached in this email, and everyone (apprentices, journeymen, master plumbers) all agree that there is no way the work could be completed in 36 minutes like was stated. Our plumber, Darren, who was out there stated it took him slightly over an hour to fully cut out, piece by piece, the existing, corroded cast-iron stack and replace it with new PVC. On top of that, he had to add a studor vent for the kitchen sink as well which he added took an additional 15-20 minutes. We were out at the job before her scheduled appointment at 1 o’clock, but Darren called us at 12 wondering if he could get in early and we sent him over there. With leaving at 12, including drive time for our standard labor charge, IF he did leave at 1:26 PM the job would account for a total of 86 minutes, just shy of 1.5 hours in terms of total labor. The biggest issue with us here, is that there is physically no possible way Darren could have completed his work in 36 minutes. Removing cast iron stacks, especially corroded leaking ones, can easily take up to three hours. Even our most experienced plumber would need a full hour at the minimum to perform this work. In short, we fit a normally decently lengthed job into our schedule very quickly, we performed the job in less time than the 2-3 hours expected, we came in over $100 less than what we estimated her cost would be, and there are zero issues with the performance of the plumbing or the service provided by the plumber. In the email sent to us after [redacted] received her invoice, we tried to contact her and got her voicemail, but we also explained to her in person that labor does include travel time. Theoretically, with time of travel involved, she probably should have been charged up to a half hour MORE of labor but there was no return trip back to the shop as Darren moved on to another job in the area. Please let me know what other information you would like from me as we would like to resolve this as quickly as possible. Below this initial message, I am going to copy and paste my entire email conversation with her prior to services.
