Cancelled membership with gym, was not cancelled, fee went to collections
I was given a free gym membership by one of the employees at this gym for being a disabled veteran. I cancelled my membership in July of 2017 because I was moving. Another employee who did the paperwork for my cancellation did not cancel my membership till after I moved. I got a bill from a collection agency a few weeks ago for $136 for a cancellation fee which was never brought to my attention at the time I cancelled my membership. My wife had the same issue with this gym but did not have to pay a cancellation fee.
