Review: I purchased a car 10/25/2014 at World Auto Sales. The Salesman( [redacted]) advised that the car was in good condition and that the radio worked. When signing the contract the salesman showed me papers that the engine and the car itself was in working condition. The next day the engine light came on and the radio did not work. I came back to the dealership and the owner ([redacted]) said that the engine light came on because I didn't twist the gas cap on. He then told the engine light off. I asked about the radio and he said that he wasn't going to fix it because he wasn't going to make money on this deal so I advised that his salesman told me it worked and he said that I would have to get it fixed myself. The next day the engine light came on again. I called again and he said for me to go to his mechanic in Lemon grove. I I went to his mechanic 11/10/2014. The mechanic told me that the code from the light was due to needing to replace the catalyst converter. The shop gave me an estimate of $850.00. I called the dealership and [redacted] said that the warranty does not cover it because it is not part of the engine. [redacted] was still asking for money after letting him know that the car that was sold to me wouldn't pass smog and the cost to fix was expensive. I kept calling him and calling to trying to find a solution. I called the finance and told them about the defective car and the next day they had rejected the loan. I continued to call [redacted] to resolve this issue and he didn't want to fix it with the warranty I had. The car became shaky when driving and the RPM would go up and down quickly then the car would turn off. I advised [redacted] again of the defective car and he asked me to bring it in and he would fix it. He took the car from 11/24-11/26. I went back to get the car and he wanted 300.00 dollars. The check engine was still on and the radio still wasn't working. The finance man Ivan said that he wouldn't give me the car back until the re-signed another contract so I did.Desired Settlement: 2,000
