Nice story but not trueThe owner saw my chair when I brought it inHe knew that I wanted it reupholstered not redesigned!!! He also knew there was a broken spring which he said he was going to fix prior to putting the new fabric onAt no time did I tell him I wanted him or his staff to rip out all the stuffing and NOT REPLACE ITThis was a very old art deco chair that I have had since The overstuffed design is classicWhen I got my chair back from him the sides and back were pieced together like a patchwork quilt!!! The stuffing was all removed and nothing was replacedThe fabric was laid directly over the woodIt looked like my chair had been on an extreme dietThe spring was not fixedMy seat cushion fell inward and there was a hole between the back of the seat and the seat cushion so bad that you fell backwards into itPrior to taking my chair to this wanna be upholstery business I had my chair upholstered two other times in the last yearsNever have I ever had any problemsNEVER!!! Yes my chair needed to be doneThat's why I took it to what I thought was a good companyI was so wrongNot only does this company not know what they are doing the owner is delusional I, lies to cover his screw ups and has incompetent staffThe professional upholstery company I hired after, had to rip everything apart and start all overShe stated when I first contacted her I was her third call that week on folks that needed to have their things redone who had had pieces done by themI know for sure that he has many unsatisfied customers After picking up my chair from Island Collection the owner called me to discuss my displeasureHe knew I was extremely dissatisfied for obvious reasons and I still amI only asked for the difference between what I would of owed him and what I had to pay the new company to rip apart, fix the springs, re-stuff to make it look like the chair I had originallyI have had this chair almost all of my adult lifeIt is the only chair that I have sat in for the past yearsI love my chair and it made me so angry that an incompetent owner and company would ruin the classic design and lie to cover up their mistakes and not own themI have tried talking to Isaac and get know whereI want closure and compensation that I had to spend correcting their mistakeIf my job was over their skill level then he should of been honest from the beginning In addition to my comments made last night, Isaac stated I just took my chairI only did so after [redacted] his office manager told me to because the job turned out so horrible

A couple months ago when I was at Queen's Medical Center, [redacted] came  to the Store to pick up one of her chairs that we were hired to reupholster. She never paid for the re Upholster job $465.  Also, when she originally hired us for this job she did...

not tell us that the springs on the chair were broken.  One month after she took her chair she asked me to pay her $763 to compensate for the reupolholster job she did somewhere else without my authorization. Her chair desperately needed a repair and reupholster job, she came here, took the chair without my authorization, didn't  pay for it and now I owe her money whenshe didn't even pay me in tile fist place!!??  It was an old broken chair that need  d repair and she should pay me for what I did, I don't see why I should pay her when lie took the chair without paying while I was at in the hospital and the chair needed  work no matter  what.
