I am rejecting this response because:
I informed the business that the claim was filed roughly a week before it was dueThe claim was sent via the us postal service.Their claim that I filed my claim late is wrongThey are claiming that I am lying when they have no proof and I have been honest throughout the entire transaction.The claim I filed had the date on it that it was mailed from the cluster box in front of my house.I mailed from the cluster box in front of my house so there is no receiptI did not think I needed to file using certified mail through the post office.I followed up via email three weeks after mailing the claim since I had received no response.The business claims that it did not receive the hard copy claim in the mailThe business then asked me to email them a copy of the claim.When they received the emailed copy, they used the date of the email to claim that I was late in filing my claim.Due to the poor quality service experienced throughout the interstate move, it would not surprise me for them to lose the original.Just as I did not get a receipt when I mailed the original via the us mail, they cannot prove they did not receive the original that was sent in time. I proved the extremely poor packing job they did via photos sent in response to their request AFTER I emailed the claim.Now it seems as though they want to ignore their responsibility in this claim, even though they received extra payment for additional insurance on the goods.They damaged or lost nearly $2,worth of my household goods that they should be held responsible for.They were paid in full and should fulfill their obligations, including processing this claim request. I am rejecting this response because:The explanation door the absence of a receipt had been provided. While true that all communication has been email or by phone, the claim form said to mail or fax. Since I don't have the ability tho fax, I followed the instructions on the form and mail it. The previous message was not intended to insult the company but simply to point out their basis for rejection has no foundation

All communication with Mr. [redacted] was via e-mail or telephone, including his late claim submission.   We have asked him to submit some form of substantiation that he mailed his claim on or near the date he put on the claim form and he can not.  It seems odd that Mr. [redacted] would use the US Postal Service for his claim, when all other documents regarding his move were e-mailed back and forth. Now that Mr. [redacted] is questioning our integrity and insulting our staff, we are not interested in continuing to debate this mater any further after the fact. Our position remains the same, Mr. [redacted]'s claim has been denied due to his untimely filing. Sincerely, John J[redacted]General Manager
