Worldwide Branding Reviews (26)

Review: I was promised a professionally created custom personal brand statement and press release, inclusion on their worldwide directory and 2 plane ticket vouchers. I did not receive any of the above either by email or by mail and I emailed them twice telling them to cancel my services s item not received. I also told them over the phone that I was unhappy and wanted my money back. My credit card has been charged $689.00 USD and I am being told now that I am not allowed to cancel my membership. Only this afternoon when I complained over the phone was I send an enrollment ID and password to their site, however I cannot access it unless I agree to their terms and conditions ( which were not given to me before they took my money) and which I have NOT ACCEPTED. This is sounding more and more like a scam the further I look into it and I do not trust them in any way. So so far I've got nothing and they refuse to refund my money.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Response:

In response to the above referenced matter please note the following.

On March **, 2014 a credit was processed in the amount of $689.00 as a courtesy. We have adjusted our records and she will not receive any further charges or demands for payment.

Before a consumer incurs charges for the services offered by Worldwide, all material terms of those services, including all costs, are fully disclosed. In addition, the consumer is informed that all purchases are final, and Worldwide does not offer refunds due to costs incurred with the purchase and provision of our registry-related services.

Nevertheless, in the interest of addressing any complaint expeditiously, the credit card account of [redacted] has been credited and her membership has been deactivated.

If we do not hear from you, we will consider this matter resolved to the full satisfaction of [redacted]. She can also feel free to contact me directly. Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Review: Worldwide Branding did not provide the services they said they would to me. I signed up to be a lifetime member on October **, 2015, at a onetime rate of $989.00. They said they would help create a "custom" bio about myself. All they did was copy my LinkedIn page into their format. They said I would get a certificate that I could hang up in my office stating I was a member and I only got a plain piece of paper that a ten-year-old could create. On November *, 2015, they charged my [redacted] card $1,207.00 without my permission and provided no service to me! On December **, 2015, they charged my [redacted] again without permission in the amount of $1,013.00 and provided no service to me. The company was misleading and did not provide the service they had me believing they would. I feel like this is a scam. When I called and tried to talk to the customer service department, they were rude and refused to talk about my account.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund all of my money or at least the November and December charges that were charged without my permission.

Review: After many MANY calls to convince me that I should proceed with paying for the 'who's who' membership, I decided that I would take the phone call. After asking numerous times what the cost was, I was brought through sales pitch after sales pitch before learning that the 'lifetime membership' was almost $1000. I settled for a $599 three year membership to attempt to build my networking in my business. When I found that I did not have enough room on my credit card, I had said to the sales person that I needed to wait until I could make a payment on my card and to call back the following week. They called back and much to my surprise, had put through what my card would take, a $450+ charge and made up a new package? This was NOT authorized but since the charge had already gone through, I decided to wait and try the service. I was supposed to get an email with login information for the online database which has not been received even after numerous phone calls and emails that have not been responded to. There was also a package that was supposed to come in the mail that never did.

A couple weeks back I started getting more calls from who's who (or world wide branding) which I thought might be to check in and see how I was doing with the service, but after finally listening once again to another sales pitch, I discovered that once again it was another upsell, something this salesperson wanted an ADDITIONAL $500+ for. I kept repeating that I did not have the money right now but may consider in the future. When I finally got my point across, the rep was quite rude to me and basically tried to tell me that I wasn't interested in investing in my business and that the value was so great he didn't understand why I was turning it down. I found this extremely condescending as I am a small business owner, operating a business from home and trying to support my family. This put me over the edge, and I do NOT wish to deal with this company any more and am seeking a FULL REFUND of my entire investment considering no service at all has been provided to me.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a FULL REFUND of my entire investment considering no service at all has been provided to me. The total amount requested to be refunded to my visa is $455.42

Review: Hello,

I had asked for a refund and removal of all information about me from all WorldWide Branding services. They did give me a refund which I gladly accepted back, however I was able to easily search for my name on their site [redacted] (FIRST and LAST refers to my first and last name appearing on the site.) which I told to not authorize in a previous desist order. If you can assist me in cancelling all information I would not want, I would greatly appreciate it.Desired Settlement: They provided me the refund, now I would like to have my information removed from the site. It appears that information from my LinkedIn profile and site was used to supply information there. Out of personal request, I desire that it not be on the site.

Review: This company called me acting as if I won an award and I should have known it was too good to be true. After spending a long time on the phone with them answering questions they tried to charge me 1,000 to advertise me. After letting them know I thought it was an award and that was why I invested the time, but they tricked me. After telling me all the ways they could help me they charged me 199.00 to basically accept my award which turned out to be bogus. They even called me in the fall to try and sell me AGAIN for 500-700 more dollars. This is a joke. They never responded to questions, would only contact me when they wanted to take more money for nothing. Very pushy represenatives.Desired Settlement: I want my $199.00 back. They have done nothing for this money except try to harass me for more. Please help me

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and will be considered resolved upon receipt of the refund.

Sincerely,

I am writing this complaint because I was sold a membership and then on the follow up call I was approached for an additional $895 "optimization" charge. This company is a scam and I want everyone that sees their advertisement on LinkedIn to be aware this is a fast talking sales scam. I only wish I had used better judgement to begin with and not given them any money!
