My wife and I met Ann at a luncheon where she was “pitching her skills”. She emphasized that she could “pitch your stuff” better than anyone else in the world! I thought, “you want to bet?” My father was a hoarder. He rented garages to store stuff. When he became ill my mother had someone clear out his stuff so she could use the rental money for more important things.
Dad passed away and Mom became his alter ego. When she was in a nursing home nearing death she “gave me my final orders!” She said, “now when you clean out the house, don’t just throw everything away, SOME OF THAT STUFF IS IMPORTANT!” I replied, “you know what is important and not. Why didn’t you get rid of the UNIMPORTANT STUFF then you wouldn’t have to worry about what I need to do?” I burned out two paper shredders, but I didn’t lose anything of VALUE!
So, I told my wife who is gung ho on calling Ann to help us with an impending move to a shoebox, “we don’t need anyone to tell us what to toss out, we can do that ourselves.” In fact, my wife gets ready for trash day on Saturday and Sunday going through stuff we don’t need. I’m always grateful Tuesday seeing the trash truck pass our house and i’m NOT IN IT! ????
So, we invited Ann over to discuss what ELSE she can do for us besides “toss out the clutter” and “organize the remainder”. Like everyone else who has written something about what Ann has done for them to make them shout WOW, she hits the floor running as soon as she enters the door asking, “what do you need me to do for you?” Well Ann, you see we have a 3 story colonial with 4 bedrooms, a family room, living room, kitchen, dining room and basement. We are moving to a one bedroom unit that is less than 700 square feet. This is what we think we need to take. How can we arrange it so we can be “comfortable and functional”?
Well, Ann went into action with suggestions a mile long not only of what we should take, but how to pack it and unpack it at the other end, what to put in place first, second, third, etc so it “is organized” before you get started “organizing”! What a brilliant idea. Why hasn’t anyone thought about that first? She gave us recommendations for resource help in moving and storing items we cannot fit into 700 square feet of space, but are valuable enough to keep and use seasonally. For example, we have more artwork than wall space in 700 square feet. She suggested grouping the artwork like an art gallery groups showings and switching out the groups seasonally. Again, whoever thought your home could be a “Seasonal Art Gallery”?
The best part is yet to happen. Ann offered to come help us on moving day and before, packing things so they are easily found and not broken, arrange the rooms so if something else needs to be eliminated or substituted it could be done before the moving truck is returned and unpacking the boxes and putting them where they belong in their new environment. WOW, why hasn’t anyone thought about “ALL THAT STUFF BEFORE”? ??

Ann and her WOW crew...what can U say but WOW!!! Their assistance to my 70-something year old mother helped jump start her process of cleaning and downsizing...neither of which are ever easy for anyone! Her patience and easy-to-understand methods for process are motivating and encouraging at the same time. Highly recommend for others looking for help!!

Several months ago, I hired WOW Organizing to help me in my home office, which was a mess. Ann and her assistant came for 4 hours and helped me tremendously. They were great! They immediately dove in to something I find overwhelming. They put like stuff together. Ann herself tackled some folders in one of my filing cabinets. I participated by weeding out some other file folders.
By the end of 4 hours, my office floor was clear and so was the top of my desk. All in all, the experience was wonderful, very positive. I would recommend Ann and WOW Organizing to anyone looking to organize and/or declutter a space. Ann and her assistant were focused, friendly and helpful. They made suggestions and listened to my concerns for getting unstuck. I give WOW Organizing 5 stars, for an excellent job well done.

It was a pleasure to help you. I am so proud of all that you accomplished by YOUR participation . You definitely let go of a lot of items that you REALIZED didn’t have meaning to you. You said “I would rather have the space to work at my desk”... and that is what we were able to do for you.
You also let go of many items that were on the floor and we maximize some of the closet area so that you could SEE what you have and find items quickly and easily !
With all the items on the floor it certainly was not safe for you to walk in . I am glad we were able clear the clutter from the floor; Now it is SAFER for you move around.
We left you with some great tips that you felt was very easy to do and you were going to move forward .

I am 69, disabled, and living alone. I was totally overwhelmed and depressed with my upcoming move out of state. Unable to focus and get anything accomplished, I finally admitted to myself that I needed HELP! I was truly blessed to find Ann and her team from WOW Organizing. Ann is superb in taking charge and encouraging me to make decisions about sorting/throwing away/donating my possessions. She and her team professionally packed items I wanted to take with me. WOW is the right word!! Ann and her team tackled a big project for me with enthusiasm, energy and professionalism. The project involved two storage units, a shed and a big room. Items were sorted, categorized, relocated, donated and organized. Ann and her team are wonderful to work with; good communicators, planners and really get it done on time and very reasonably. Call Ann, you'll be so happy you did!!

This review is a long one, so hang in there with me! Working with WOW Organizing has been an incredible experience. I moved a couple of months ago and was having a very hard time getting unpacked and settled due to a busy job, being ill, and feeling generally stressed. Things seemed to be getting worse every day as I was living among and out of boxes. I was becoming even more stressed, overwhelmed, and tired. I could feel the depression that I have dealt with for years was gaining on me, and was making my lack of motivation even worse. I felt like I was in a viscous cycle of knowing I needed to get a handle on my new place, but feeling too depressed and tired to do it. In admitting that I just couldn't do it on my own, I decided to reach out for help. I found WOW Organizing online, read the many positive reviews, and took a leap of faith and called. Ann was immediately very calming and reassuring to speak with, as I was nervous about talking to a stranger about something that felt very personal. I figured they had probably seen it all through their years of experience, and I trusted in their promise of "no judgement." I can't say how thankful I am that I decided to make that call. Ann and her team did an amazing job of helping me get unpacked, organized, and settled. They came in with such positivity, I felt a huge sense of relief as we discussed our plan of action. Ann took the time to understand how my days and weeks typically function, and she helped me with strategies for how to get and stay organized. She has continued to check on me after we finished to see how the strategies are working, and she clearly genuinely cares about each of her clients. If you're thinking about hiring a professional organizer, this is the one to choose. I had been psychologically debilitated with “stuff” for the past 15 years. My husband brought stuff to our marriage 17 years ago and has not looked at it since. I have paid to store stuff for at least the last 10 years. No, I have not totaled how much I've spent because it's gone. No sense getting stressed over it now! This last move we made was very expensive and I vowed to be downsized before it happened again. Since he is handicap it all falls on me to do and is quite overwhelming. I read about organizing and downsizing until I felt I could do it, but alas, I would start and not even put a dent in it after a days work then get depressed and walked away from it. I saw this new pattern emerging and decided I would find help. Family is not who you want for this job! They can not do it without emotion and once you add emotion, you'll never get rid of anything. Ann and her assistant, Jessica, came full of energy and I got sucked in with them! It's just what I needed to feel productive. They helped downsize what I wanted, giving me ideas on where and how to get rid of it, then helped me organize what I was keeping. My goal was a garage and two storage rooms in my basement. They (Vicky and Ann came the second visit) did it in two visits!! I am so excited! I feel like an elephant climbed off my back. They are extremely organized and wonderful listeners. They will do what you need, they don't try to talk you into keeping or getting rid of anything, just listen to what you want. I will always keep them in my contacts if I need help or if anyone I know can use their services. I highly recommend them. You don't have to be a hoarder to benefit from organizing, you just need to want a peace of mind. I'm telling all my friends! Working full time and being a full time caregiver has never given me the time I needed to keep everything in control. Now, I can manage again! Ann and her team are very trustworthy and I will call them again. The best part is they do this for a living so what I thought was a very big, looming mess, was nothing as far as they were concerned. Ann asks very detailed questions and looks at before pictures so she has a plan in mind when she gets to your house. No wasting time!! Just results. Don't be embarrassed to say you needed to call them, be proud of the fact that you recognized you can't do it alone. I'm so glad I found Wow Organizing!!

Ann is wonderful! I own a small business which I run from my small home, while also being a stay-at-home mom to a 3-year old and new baby. I moved a couple of times over the last few years while working on my degree.The last move was the worst, as the movers threw many of our belongings into boxes with no labels and no care. I avoided unpacking many of the boxes over the years because it was stressful and mentally exhausting. I hated opening the closets or sitting on the patio because of the chaotic appearance.
WOW Organizing came to my rescue. I can now open my closets and see order instead of boxes overflowing with stuff. My bedroom is now a place of serenity. I actually love seeing my shoes neatly arranged, my clothing organized, and everything organized clearly. Ann helped me to 'finally' enjoy my home that I pay to live in. I embrace the organization that she has helped me to obtain and maintain.

Ann really demonstrated a complete end to end commitment. She was not only thorough in her discovery and clear definition of the expectations of mine, but she was absolutely responsive to the nth degree.

She had been so very careful and attentive in getting all the information she needed about my home. She asked me for photos of each room, and carefully reviewed them with me over the phone before accepting the project.

Since I had a very demanding schedule and a really big job to attend to, Ann and her team drove more than an hour to arrive at my home at 5AM (Lord only knows what time they had to wake up that morning!).

Because of all of the pre-project work she did, when she arrived she was prepared for the gigantic job.
She and her team worked all day, and finished not only everything she had committed to, but even more than I had expected. I was absolutely delighted when I returned home. She made my life 100% better. The results of her and her teams work were comprehensive.
