This is in response to a complaint made against us by a former tenantSaid tenant claims that he was denied a “referral fee” for recommending someone to rent his apartment after he broke his leasePlease note that although we offer a courtesy gift to current tenants who refer people to the renting office, the Tenant Referral Program was designed specifically to thank our residents for their loyalty, not to reward tenants for breaking their leases earlyFrom the beginning, we have maintained that this tenant did not qualify for a gift and we still maintain this positionIn this case, the tenant in question chose to break his lease, which made him responsible for continuing to pay rent until the apartment was re-rented (as stated in our lease)He was able to find someone willing to move into the apartment quickly, which mitigated his costsThis was the benefit he receivedWe have had similar situations in the past and in none of those cases has the vacating tenant received a gift for finding someone willing to move into their apartmentAs stated earlier, the Tenant Referral Program was developed as a courtesy to our current tenants and we reserve the right to use our discretion on who qualifiesSince the complainant in this case was 1) not a current tenant and 2) received another benefit for finding a tenant to rent his vacant apartment, we concluded that he does not, in fact, qualify for a courtesy gift

I am rejecting this response because:
Thanks the Revdex.com platform and apartment office the detailed explanation for their policyI broke the lease and paid the punishment (re-rent fee) and rental fee until the next tenant moving in the room, the aptoffice did not lose any money in the process, I don't have any argument for thatThe question is when I noticed the aptmanager to move out and will end the contract (date at the last day of June) on the email, several days later we discussed the referring friend to rent the room in their office, the manager told me on oral and email agree the " referral fee"I don't know whether that represents a contract? At that time they knew I broke the lease and I am still qualify for that, but months later when I request the referral fee, they gave the reasons not qualification. As I broke the lease andneed to pay the punishment, if the office deny what they said, can they get punishment? If I am not qualify for that, why you did not deny me from the beginning? And even they don't need to mention that to meIf you did not say to give the referral fee, I will not bother the office once again. The $referral fee is not a big number and don't need us to take much time on thatI am angry for that because I felt be cheated by the office of different reasons to deny me,Iam sure the business should be honest and the customer will not dispute without any evidence or reasons.I am glad there are platforms like Revdex.com to show my story and I am sincerely expect there will be a good endI will keep update based on the process

office, the Tenant Referral Program was designed specifically to thank our residents for their loyalty, not to reward tenants for breaking their leases early. From the beginning, we have maintained that this tenant did not qualify for a gift and we still maintain this position. In this case, the tenant in question chose to break his lease, which made him responsible for continuing to pay rent until the apartment was re-rented (as stated in our lease). He was able to find someone willing to move into the apartment quickly, which mitigated his costs. This was the benefit he received. We have had similar situations in the past and in none of those cases has the vacating tenant received a gift for finding someone willing to move into their apartment. As stated earlier, the Tenant Referral Program was developed as a courtesy to our current tenants and we reserve the right to use our discretion on who qualifies. Since the complainant in this case was 1) not a current tenant and 2) received another benefit for finding a tenant to rent his vacant apartment, we concluded that he does not, in fact, qualify for a courtesy gift.
