I am in the computer repair business myself and when I have computers that need motherboard level or chip level repairs, I have found that WPB Computer Tech is the one I rely on. What many end users don't understand is that diagnosing and solving some problems requires a step by step process of elimination. A problem may be caused by several different parts and there is no test equipment that will guarantee that a specific part replacement will solve the problem. So you replace one part and if that does not solve the problem, you move on to the next part and so on. So this process can take several weeks if the shop does not have the parts in stock and they have to be ordered. It is hard to know which parts to carry inventory on when there are 10,000+ different models of laptops that a shop must deal with. Video chip reflowing/reballing will fix display problems in most cases, but because of the design flaws on many laptops, the problem can re-appear in a short time after a repair.
