Wright & Calvey Funeral Home

I called this funeral home and spoke with several people over the course of the month since my father passed away in early March.
I have been calling from out Of state ever since my father passed away in Louisiana. Each time I've spoken with personnel there they were very evasive and reluctant to even let me know service information, death certificate information or how to obtain it? Or anything that did not involve me giving them money.
I recently was contacted by the state of Louisiana because the funeral home has not submitted my father's death certificate and it has been nearly a month. I was told by vital records to call the funeral home and ask them why it had not been submitted yet and when would it be submitted ?
I called to find out why I was never asked my name the name of my father who my was calling about or anything when someone name Norman was very snotty, rude, obnoxious and reluctant to answer my questions. And subsequently sarcastically asked me if I had paid for anything regarding my father's services?He told me that I needed to speak with my family member. It was very suspicious and very strange that this person could instruct me about speaking to family member, but I never once gave my name or any information about who I was calling about. Only that I what is seeking information on when the death certificate would be filed as per law of the State of Louisiana. I did not ask him for a copy I did not ask him for anything other than to know when it would be filed and he persisted to be rude and had a despicable attitude. Therfore... unless they only took care of one funeral for the month of March, how would he know who I was speaking of without asking?
In my opinion, that is very suspect.
Sounds like their malingering on caps at knitting my father's information as per law by of the state of Louisiana.
I'm not sure what kind of shady dealings they're used to or who they're used to dealing the shady things with but this was entirely inappropriate and he should not matter whether or not a family member has paid into this service is to obtain information when a death certificate will be filed.
Also they need to really work on customer service because if this is how they treat their customers or prospective customers I wouldn't be surprised if they were only handling one funeral a month.
