I had *** come to my rental properties and look at seeing if unit could work. Said it would be $80 to check compressor said ok. He told me what all it would need to make it work agreed to price of $850. Kept saying needed more that we were up to over $1200. Then said valves needed replaced and couldn't tell if unit was working told me I owed him for job aggreed to come back and replace valves. Called next day saying he needed money for valves was going to put onfor free. Meanwhile I had another unit next door that he was going to replace since other one could be fixed. Said would be $1600 needed half down gave it to him on Thursday 3/29/2018. On Monday 3/2/2018 he tells me it's going to need to be $1885 and need to pick up the difference. I said this is it no more surprises like next door and said no set in stone and was going to do the valves when does other install. Day comes does install but needs a new thermostat wire and valves for the other are wrong ones says will come back and do thermostat wire and get right valves. Well was trying to get him back over for a couple weeks wasn't until I was going to pay him to clean my unit that he came back over and did thermostat wire. Comes back and says valve straps aren't right ones. Cleans my unit then gets paid and leaves. This house is being listed and active says he promises will be back in a couple days to do valves. Over a week goes by when keeps saying will get to and doesn't Well the new unit starts freezing up and he won't respond. I finally give up and contact another company and the new unit a coil isn't put in correctly and 6 pounds low on freon. They fix it. Have him go next door and there is no freon in system. Keep in mind he replaced everything new and did nitrogen test and everything is fine. The new person who by the way is accredited and insured does a test and nitrogen is not holding there is a leak somewhere. The unit needs to be replaced. It was this way the whole time and he kept making excuses about valves so he could keep being dishonest and get more money from me. New company doesn't ask for any money until everything is up and running. Also since he touched mine it has been freezing up hope he didn't screw mine up also. Beware doesn't care about reputation or making it right told me to sue him. If anyone wants to see all the texts and verify information feel free will show you entire conversations. He over charges also I could have gotten a brand new unit on the other house for $1800 and he charged me $1885 for a couple year old one or so he says don't believe anything he says
