Complaint ID: [redacted] April 22, B&M Transmission [redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] Nissan Titan To Whom This Concerns: We, B&M Transmission, are disputing this Revdex.com because there are no grounds to substantiate the claimUpon receiving this Revdex.com notification, the customer had committed fraud by filing a chargeback in the amount of $and $“claiming he did not authorize the purchase.” Altogether his chargebacks [redacted] have a grand total of $2,that is owed to B&M for our repair services that the customer, [redacted] chose to have done and approved for the price he paidThese chargebacks are a ‘Theft of Service’ that are considered a felony since it is over the amount of $and we plan to press charges if we do not receive monies owed for the repair services providedMr [redacted] ’ chose to have a ‘used transmission’ rather than have his transmission rebuilt by our certified builders in order to save money on his Nissan TitanThe ‘used transmission’ does not come with a warranty because our certified technicians only installed the transmission bought from a third partyThe only issue was due to a part failure that our company did not perform any service or repair onThe terms of service were not mispresentedWe have photos of Mr [redacted] ’ driveshaft with a huge hole or extensive damage that was not and could not be due to our transmission installationWe, B&M Transmission, have not mispresented nor provided any services that were not of “the right level of service and quality” describedWe originally asked for “proof of repair receipts” for the other company Mr [redacted] is claiming he brought his vehicle to for repair and said companies written claim that B&M is at fault for such extensive damage to the driveshaft when we only installed a used transmissionSincerely, B&M Transmission [redacted] - President & [redacted] -Vice President

B&M Transmission [redacted] Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] Buick Century R/O# [redacted] TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS; After reviewing this Revdex.com Complaint with our Manager at the location in which [redacted] took his vehicle to, we have come to a few very certain conclusions [redacted] and [redacted] had a very cordial relationship after the vehicle was towed in, the R.D.Iwas approved and even a purchase price for a transmission rebuild with parts and labor of $ [redacted] was unable to afford paying the entire cost upfront and that’s when [redacted] offered our 45-day Financing OptionLike any other Financing there was a fee attached, which wasn’t hidden from [redacted] even when he came into our shop to approve and finalize paperwork to continue on with the rebuild of his Buick Century TransmissionAt some point during the discussion of the financing details [redacted] started making threats towards our manager, [redacted] , and ultimately stormed out of the office into the parking lotFrom the parking lot [redacted] ripped off his shirt and proceeded to grab metal bars, swinging them angrily, and stormed back into the office to the point where he was behind our counterBy this point, [redacted] was on the phone with the policeThey arrived shortly after and [redacted] was arrested on attempted assault chargesAll of this is on camera, which the Austin Police Department have on fileB&M Transmission charged [redacted] for a R.D.I(Remove, Disassemble and Inspection) of his transmissionOnce a Transmission is apart we are unable to put it back together without first putting in new seals and gaskets [redacted] informed [redacted] that in order to tow his vehicle out he would need a flat bed and that his transmission would not be reinstalledAfter B&M releases the vehicle back to a customer without a transmission in it we explain that we are not liable for the transport option chosen by the customerThis is the same policy for all automotive repair facilities due to liability and insurance reasons mostlySincerely, B&M Transmission [redacted]

I spoke with the manager [redacted] [redacted] said when Mr [redacted] picked up the car that Mr [redacted] was happy and understood all the options that [redacted] presented and offered to Mr [redacted] Which included (a) a rebuild of the transmission which would cost $2,with a month/12,miles limited warranty (b) For the customer to buy a used transmission and pay B&M Transmission labor only for the removal and reinstall of the transmission which is a less expensive option than rebuilding (c) a payment plan or (d) Mr [redacted] could bring the car back when he saved up enough money for which option he chose to go with [redacted] explained to Mr [redacted] that when he brought his car back to B&M that Mr [redacted] would receive credit from B&M Transmission for the RDI towards the rebuild option.We apologize for the inconvenience and understand the frustration due to the vehicles issues

B&M Transmission Burnet Rd Austin, TX Jose R Perez N Patterson Florence, TX Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] (Second Response) Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L 4X [redacted] R/O# K– COMPLETE TRANSMISSION OVERHAUL TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS: B&M Transmission has been in business for over years and we certainly did not make it thus far in this industry by providing our customers with poor quality repairs/service or by not honoring our warrantyWe are a small family owned and operated company that prides ourselves in going above and beyond for our customers [redacted] s response has numerous accusations and statements that are and in the excessive amount can be viewed as slander [redacted] also submitted what is called a “chargeback” to American Express in order to receive a refund for his entire Transmission Overhaul of $claiming we didn’t provide him with one, while also asking for an additional $through this Revdex.com ComplaintB&M won the case against this “chargeback” because we have all the documentation to prove we have done nothing [redacted] is accusing us ofB&M Transmission is not responsible for the poor timing of the U-Joints Failure that [redacted] installed himself (prior to us working on the vehicle) breaking causing the driveshaft to fallAgain, we only remove/reinstall and touch the bolts that attach the brackets to the driveshaftThese bolts that screw in brackets were still securely and properly intact when the driveshaft fellWe have proof of this(Which is attached on the next page.) [redacted] s claim in that he called B&M Transmission regarding his first Transmission Rebuild R/O# Kis falseB&M never received a call therefore we could have never refused not to honor his warranty [redacted] is also making a claim about paying $for his first rebuildB&M has the work-order and credit card receipt to prove that [redacted] paid $(for the transmission rebuild) plus $(for a rear main seal) and $(for a shop charge) and that only totals to $1350.00.(See attachment for Pictures)

JANUARY 30, [redacted] Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] Chevrolet Impala SS -RED -TX PLATES: [redacted] *VIN [redacted] (Original Repair Completed at [redacted] ***) TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS: [redacted] brought his vehicle to the B&M Location located at [redacted] (after submitting this complaint) during the last week of December Since [redacted] lives in the Dallas area B&M’s Warranty does not cover the transportation of his Vehicle back to our location due to distanceAfter the vehicle was dropped off we did a thorough diagnostic and found what we deemed to be the reason for failure of his Torque Converter ultimately causing failure of his Transmission as a wholeThe repairs to his Vehicle were completed January 13, but due to [redacted] living in Dallas he was not able to pick up his vehicle until Today, Saturday January 30, [redacted] seemed very satisfied upon the piof his vehicleThe manager, ***, also informed [redacted] that he needs to have is ABS Brake System problem fixed before his two-week re-checkThe manager also told him we would extend his warranty if he had the ABS Brake Problem fixed

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:My car was ready around January and they keep saying it will be ready as for the manager [redacted] he told me January the car should be readyThe car wasnt readyWhen I got the car back it was it was unsatisfied my shifter doesn't reads which gear im inIt was truly a waste of money and timeI was better off send my car to another transmission shop and just pay more to have the car fixed the right wayThe car is in a worse shape than it was when I brought it in to get fixed Regards, [redacted]

? It became impossible to work with the customer when they tried to do side deals with every employee or ex employee asking for a cheaper deal or gossip among the employees they could find by phone.? We tried but could not reach any agreement with all the second and third opinions.? B&M Transmission Burnet Rd Austin, TX [redacted] Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] Nissan Maxima To Whom This Concerns: B&M Transmission was only paid labor $to swap out a used transmission which the customer [redacted] paid forThe vehicle came in with multiple other engine and automotive issuesThe customer knew this was a labor only no warranty jobSince the transmission was faulty that Mr [redacted] had purchased from a junk yard, the junk yard paid for B&M Transmission to swap out the used junk yard unit againDuring the test drive after the 2nd unit was installed, the vehicle died due to his fuel pump going out or one of the other engine issues the vehicle already had when it came inB&M Transmission has explained several times in detail the other issues with his vehicleMr [redacted] was given all of his receiptsSincerely, [redacted] [redacted] B&M Transmission

Complain [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: First of all, I was absolutely not “fully informed of the procedure and risks associated with buying a used transmission from another source.” I received nothing in writing, and [redacted] response to my proposition to provide my own transmission was a simple acknowledgement and agreementAnd I’m absolutely not expecting them to “warranty a transmission (they) did not rebuild.” I’m merely asking them to refund some of the installation costs due to their incompetence My complaint, which I articulated very clearly in my desired resolution, was based on the fact that they did not properly strip the old transmission of needed parts before installing the one I provided, even after I repeatedly got their verification that they had done so and, consequently, I lost the use of my vehicle for ? days unnecessarilyIn addition, it is obvious that they did not fully test their installation of the transmission, as they did not report to me that the transmission popped out of 5th gear every time it’s usedIn fact, I’m of the opinion that it’s not the used transmission that’s at fault, but rather their installation job which IS covered under their warranty Consider this my rejection of their assertion, and that this needs to be escalated Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] FEBRUARY 10, Scott Unzicker West 33rd Street B, Austin, TX Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] Jeep Wrangler TO WHOM THIS CONCERNS: Travis, Our Manager for the Burnet Rd Location of B&M Transmission, provided [redacted] a quote of $for a full service rebuild of his transmission that would come with the industry standard Month-12,warrantyOur full service rebuilds, which we have been providing to our customers for over years, includes the labor time to properly remove or pull the transmission, the labor and parts to provide a custom rebuild of the transmission, the labor time to properly reinstall the new custom rebuilt transmission including the correct transmission fluid and any other transmission related parts needed to ensure the highest quality [redacted] chose to decline a full service rebuild and provide his own used transmission he purchased from elsewhere to be installed into his Jeep Wrangler for a Labor OnWarranty price of $Before anything was removed [redacted] was fully informed of the procedure and risks associated with buying a used transmission from another sourceHe understood we could not warranty a transmission we did not rebuild and if the transmission he purchased used did not work properly he would have to pay for the Labor to remove and reinstall the transmission againAll of our technicians are highly knowledgeable and certifiedWe apologize for the inconvenience and understand the frustration felt due to the used transmission not working properlyWith that being said we promise that our technicians took proper care when removing and reinstalling the used transmissionSincerely, [redacted] -President [redacted] -Vice President

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: they have not said how they plan to fix this issue Our vehicle still is not working It is still shuddering from a stop just as it has been doing since the second time we brought it back to them First, they have their stories all mixed up The first time we brought it back to them was because of a throw out bearing squeak and for a burning clutch smell They replaced the throwout bearing When we got it back it was STILL squeaking and now was shuddering from a takeoff THIS was when [redacted] started asking about if we had the flywheel replaced, and then showed us marks on the flywheelWe NEVER admitted to "popping the clutch to save gas." I have no idea where they even got that from [redacted] told us the marks on the flywheel were probably from the shuddering it is doing from take off Also the reason the throw out bearing squeak was finally remedied after the 3rd replacement, was because [redacted] and [redacted] both admitted that the mechanic said he realized there were two clips that held the throw out bearing in, and he had only been putting one back in, which was why it was squeaking That came straight from [redacted] AND *** They also said they had to order the clip and that is why it took so long that time to get the vehicle back [redacted] told us they replaced the flywheel in attempt to fix the shuddering They obviously put the wrong flywheel in it because it was grinding at startup We were told by one of the mechanics in the shop and by [redacted] that this would eventually stop We took it home and I immediately called the transmission shop down the street to ask if it should be doing that That mechanic said the only reason it would do that with a brand new flywheel was if it was the WRONG ONE Even [redacted] had said he ordered a WRX flywheel and had it put in there This was when I also noticed the seals were leaking all over the driveway We brought the vehicle back BECAUSE OF THE GRINDING NOISE, THE SHUDDER, AND THE LEAKING SEALS.They did replace the seals, which remedied that situation, and they put another flywheel in it, which took away the grinding noise, but the shudder was never fixed! The vehicle has never been in perfect working condition after getting back from this shop! Not once! And we have taken the vehicle back about times!!! We have test driven the vehicle with the mechanic and showed them the issue multiple times When [redacted] told us it was the transmission mount that was causing the issue we told them to order the part and we paid for that too, BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE It is still shuddering from a takeoffWe are having this dispute because our car IS NOT IN WORKING CONDITION It has been sitting in our driveway since we got it back because I am afraid to drive it I don’t want to damage anything else I do not doubt that B&M has done many fixes on other vehicles, but that’s not the point the point is OUR CAR IS NOT WORKING the clutch shudders from a takeoff We paid you guys for a complete clutch job The clutch is not in perfect working order! We want our money back or for you guys to pay to let the Subaru Dealer fix it and tell us what is wrong with it.And I do sincerely apologize for [redacted] having a family emergency, but we also contacted [redacted] and asked multiple times to speak with the owner and have been ignored [redacted] should have taken the issue to the owners when we requested it.Where in your letters is there an offer to remedy this situation? Worse case scenario(The most it would cost to do a tranny rebuild on my Buick CenturyB&M [redacted] ) gave me the price of $or cheaper.depending ona number of thingsB&M [redacted] ) said if that's what he said then he would rebuild it for that priceSo when I got off work, I went up there to listen to the conversation but B&M [redacted] ) told me noI proceeded to [redacted]

B&M Transmission’s would like to apologize for the inconvenience and frustration the repairs on your vehicle have caused due to multiple part malfunctionsThis was out of our control and we sympathize with your frustration during this experience because we strive to provide the best possible serviceWhen [redacted] first contacted B&M to have the ‘Clutch Assembly’ Replaced on her Subaru Impreza the vehicle needed to be towed in due to the clutch being outFollowing the tow of the vehicle [redacted] was given two repair options and was informed the original repair would be with aftermarket partsThe options were $(labor of the removal & install + brand new aftermarket clutch assembly with a resurfaced flywheel) OR $(labor of the removal & install + brand new aftermarket clutch assembly + brand new flywheel)The manager and technician both test drove the vehicle before it was delivered and there were no errors or malfunctions [redacted] returned back a few weeks later with the vehicle claiming to hear a noiseShe was experiencing symptoms of faulty clutchThe vehicle was under warrantyB&M Transmission went into warranty out the clutch and at that time the technician noticed areas i.emarks on the flywheel where the clutch had been poppedThis due to the customer admitted to popping the clutch to save gasThis would cause the throw out bearing to go out againB&M Transmission replaced the throw out bearing for a third time and the customer then requested a Subaru dealer throw out bearing part to be installedB&M Transmission to assure customer satisfaction replaced the throw out bearing with the Subaru dealer throw out bearingAfter the 3rd throw out bearing was replaced with the dealer throw out bearing part the vehicle came back approximately days later due to a leak from the axles seals not the transmission or clutchB&M Trans replaced the seals and noticed the flywheel had more signs of abuse and or popping of the clutchBy this point the flywheel on the Subaru needed to be replaced againB&M Trans informed [redacted] that the flywheel needed to be replaced again due to abuse and or popping of the clutchThis flywheel was under warranty from the parts company but [redacted] requested a dealer flywheel and agreed she would pay the difference of the flywheel priceThe flywheel from the dealer is around plus tax for the SubaruThe difference from the original after-market flywheel purchase was $but B&M Transmission only charged $B&M Transmission replaced the leaking axle seals free of charge for customer satisfactionThe axles seals needed to be replaced only because of how many times the clutch assembly was replaced from the throw out bearing going out so many timesAfter the installation of the flywheel the dealer sent there was a grinding noise when starting the vehicleAfter several hours over several days of research a master tech from our Austin Tx store came to KilleenHe then immediately knew from a previous Subaru clutch replacement that this noise was due to flywheel being faultyWe warrantied out the dealer flywheel and installed a new dealer flywheel againThen the clutch assembly, flywheel was working perfectlyThen we informed the customer of a shutter upon take off was most likely due to the transmission / engine mounts needing to be replacedThe technician informed [redacted] that all mounts should be replaced at the same time, but there was one mount alone that could cause that problemB&M Transmission informed Daniel and [redacted] that B&M Transmission would replace the recommended mount for free no labor charge if they bought the mountIt is not required to replace a clutch or any other parts on a Subaru with only dealer partsThat is an opinion or recommendation not a FactB&M Transmission has replaced hundreds of clutch assemblies, flywheels, throw out bearing, etcon all years, makes and models of vehiclesOne last note the district manager of Killeen was on an immediate leave of absence starting June 11, 2015, until July 13, 2015, due to a family emergency

a diagnostic on October 7, Tim, the manager in formed [redacted] that we would need to open up his unit for an R.D.Iof $that was to be included in his final price if he approved the repairs needed to fix his transmissionThe week of Thanksgiving in the price quoted to [redacted] was $2,and that’s when the district manager stepped in due to complaints made by [redacted] At this time in order to ensure our 100% customer satisfaction promise, we agreed to give [redacted] a discount on the labor of the rebuildThis discount resulted in $off of $LaborWhich brought his final total to $which he paid and agreed that he was 100% SatisfiedIn response to claims made by [redacted] : > We never lost the Work Order and never claimed to have lost/misplaced it> When [redacted] came to the location at [redacted] in a Late 80’s to Early 90’s White Minivan [redacted] came speeding in the parking lot without any regards to his surroundingsAt this time one of the Owners, Charisse Simpson, was at the location with her 6-Year-Old daughterMoments earlier the owner and her daughter were walking from their vehicle to the office area in the exact path [redacted] aggressively drove throughAt this time the District Manager called the Killeen Police Department for safetyBefore the Police Arrived on scene [redacted] continued to yell, be aggressive and make accusations while recording on a brand new camera or “Go-Pro” to be specificThe owner’s daughter was brought into the bay area of the shop in order to avoid the confrontation but that is when [redacted] came out to record the 6-Year-Old while she was standing there scared out of her mind because of his erratic behavior> The customer had already approved the rebuild by the time he came to the property and police were called and we had already finished rebuilding itB&M was waiting on the customer to pay at this time> The Truck was finished on December 5, which meant that the Transmission had been installed, test driven and rechecked for any issues> The Customer was given until December 13, to Pay in Full to Pick Up the Truck> The Truck was Picked Up on December 13, with 187,miles> [redacted] Paid $1,Cash Upon Pi(12/13/14) > Prior to PiThe Dodge Was put back on the Lift for a final check of all bolds and sensors installationAt this time the technician made markings for the 2-week check to make sure nothing moved due to driving or had been tampered withTo Document these markings Pictures were taken and developed with a date and time stamp> The Transmission was working perfectly when it left with no shifting problems and no leaks> As noted on the Work-Order [redacted] has a copy of he had Multiple Engine Codes which he acknowledged he needed to fix because that would VOID his warranty> His Engine Codes were: PO301, PO302, PO304, PO300, PO& PO(These codes refer to Misfires on 1, & plus Replacement of his “Sensors”) After [redacted] Pickhis Vehicle we were never contacted again until the very last day of his WarrantyHe had his wife call the shop to set up a time to drop off the Truck for a check out of a leakWhile they were there the manager scanned and took the truck for a test drive and after put on the lift to check the leakDuring the test drive [redacted] proceeded to speak ill of and try to get the manager, Heath, to speak ill of Charisse SimpsonHeath, after the Vehicle was out of warranty in an attempt to ensure 100% Customer Satisfaction, replaced the speed sensor that seemed to have been loosened (which is electrical & not covered under warranty because parts stores don’t warranty electrical parts), replaced the transmission pan gasket, and preformed a free fluid change for [redacted] Again when [redacted] left on December 14, 2015, after Heath replaced the speed sensor, replaced the transmission pan gasket and fluid change, the Dodge Ram’s Transmission was working perfectlyOur Warranty, just as any other warranty, states that once the warranty is in the second half the customer is responsible for half of the parts cost that were not replaced during the rebuildThe Killeen Location at [redacted] has not “conveniently shut down” it has been moved to another building where it is undergoing a remodel and on December 13, the District Manager, who was overseeing the Entire Shop Move, informed [redacted] and His Wife of thisThey were not hung up on everHeath informed them that he is unable to look at the vehicle at this time but that [redacted] can call one of our Austin locations to set up an appointment and as of 10:00am on February 9, [redacted] has not called either one of the Austin LocationsSincerely, [redacted] -President [redacted] -Vice President
