Wright Inspections Reviews (6)

My husband and I got a new built homeWe knew we wanted to get an inspection doneWe did our research and found Wright InspectionsHe was quick to respond to my emailWe were unable to be present at the time of the inspection due to work but Wright took care of it allI had my report emailed to me right after the inspection was completeThe report was easy to read and had picturesIt also had explanations to help us understand the materials used for the houseOverall I'm glad we hired Wright to do our inspectionThere were things he was able to find that we didn't during our walk through of the home

Wright inspection performed an inspection on our home and seemed to have minimal knowledge, created issues that did not exist prior to inspection and left items onSee list below
When checking our AC units for proper function he somehow grounded something on the outside unit that tripped the breaker or overloaded the unitHe never noticed that he tripped the breakerUpon my return to house I noticed unit was not working properly so I got one of my technicians to come over and he looked at unit and found that the breaker was tripped My technician said he most likely grounded something accidentally during his inspection test
Handle and front glass loose and galling off on kitchen rangeInspector listed this as an issue not requiring a fix on the report I did not think anything about this since inspector only notated and not required a repairBut two days after the inspection I was cooking something in the oven and go to open the oven door and the oven door handle raises all the way up, then causing the front glass to fall outThank goodness my legs caught the glassUpon further inspection by myself I noticed that some screws were loose like someone had removed themI ended up removing screws and fixing the glass and handle properlySince we utilize our range weekly, we thought it was odd that this was never an issue and that we would have notice if this was an existing issue prior to inspection
He notated that the garage door looked to be hit in areas but that garage doors were functioning properlyInteresting this is we bought the house years prior to this inspections and our inspector did not notated thisThat said, I looked at this and found that prior owner had someone insulate the garage door and did poor craftsman on install The installer did not have clean cuts on the trim pieces resulting in the trim pieces not bring straight 100%
Inspector left interior lights on
Inspector left the landscape lights on
Inspector left the pool pump, water feature on

Daren performed our home inspection very professionallyHe was straight forward in his review, explaining everything in detailI would recommend Daren for future inspectionsVery thourough

Very thorough inspector Report was comprehensive yet easy to understand

Review: This home inspector that came to my house left all gates open to backyard that had a pool in he back yard. Not only leaving gates open to back yard wide open, the pool is fenced as as well but gates were left wide open!

The house is three houses down from a grade school. I thank God that when I showed up to the house, that I didn't walk in to a unwanted scene! I called the inspector and explained my concerns to his practice and he played it off with no concern. He left all utilities on In the house. Left water on in the sinks.

I've been a contractor for over 25 years, but I just am appalled by the practices of this " professional".

I'm not one to ever to ever complain, but feel that if people use this service, to just be cautious.

Business

Response:

First, let me clarify that you are not my customer or client, the buyer of your home was. Your complaint was based on selling practices but I have not done any business with you. I an very sorry if I left your gate open, if it was me. The pool does have a proper fence around it so it was not accessible. Your home is for sale on the MLS and has a sign in front, so anyone may have been in your yard. You state that I left utilities on. I leave things just how I find them. When I arrived the electric and water were turned on. I found numerous plumbing problems in the home, so I turned the water off and left you two different notes to warn you to prevent damage to your home. As a home inspector working for the buyer of your home, I found many issues with the home and the pool that may have caused the buyer to back out of the sale. You are complaining about my selling practices yet the home you are selling has major defect that were not disclosed to the buyer.
