Review: Ive purchased a boat from Wright island Marina , when I went to DMV to register the boat , they told me that this title is not original and the owner ordered a new title after that one and made a record of attempt to register the boat and I have a receipt. Also in the bill of sale it says that boat comes with one year warranty and the engine was just rebuilt this was the only reason why I wanted this boat. They took a deposit and made me pay first , after I got the print out of email letter where some one says to some one about some not specific info and I got worried the letter dont look any real or with this funny paper I will never be able to claim my warranty, Ive called the number from this letter and the representative said thats the paper is not real because the warranty on that specific engine is expired 1 year ago, and rebuilt was 1 year ago. Ive called them again to speak to the general manager or the owner Mac B[redacted] and he also sad that this engine is not under the warranty . I called back to marina but since they took my deposit they changed the way they talk to me , they was just keep saying you have to buy the boat we have your money, you signed the contract!!!! They've talk to me with a lot of disrespect and humiliation in front of my pregnat wife and her girlfriend that witnessed all this haos. The owner of the marina who was doing all that made me come there 3 times already plus declined title trip to department of motor vehicle to the other side of the city Yonkers with my pregnat wife and her girlfriend we left home 6am and came back home at 5 pm !!! And he just laughs at us with bad jokes, very disrespectful! Also saying to us that Im gonna regreat it all some day when I come back for valve adjustment on the engine ,he treated me that he is gonna do something bad to the engine when I come back to them because It is my resposibility to come back only to them in 50 hours on the engine and then again after 250 hours , I have to leave my boat there for 24 hours twice because it's part of the warranty that not exist and the hole deal , in first they sad they gonna come to do that to my marina , after they took the deposit they sad I have to come to them and have to leave the boat , they also tried to charge me for that , but eventually they gave me a piece of paper that just say yes we gonna do it 2 times and the way they talk to me now , assures me that they gonna enjoy of the process and do something very bad. I have copys of all the emails letters and original bill of sale , copys of certified checks for 4600 and 19878.55 that I gave him for not original title , the fake warranty email wich I will not be able to claim. Please see below:First and foremost I would like it to be known that Wright Island Marina has been in business for OVER 35 years and has NOT received ONE complaint to the Revdex.com in all of those years. [redacted] did indeed purchase a used boat from us and did indeed sign a standard purchase agreement. After purchase was made and inspections performed, [redacted] had concerns about an engine warranty given by engine distributor, not Wright Island Marina. Secretary/receptionist, was unaware of warranty info and told [redacted] there was none. After a phone call to company rep., we PROVIDED [redacted] with a written warranty from the engine distributor upon his request. This satisfied [redacted]. At the closing although he did, for unknown reasons, question it's authenticity. [redacted] was provided with ALL the necessary paperwork and refused our DMV registration services and once again questioned authenticity of Lien release, which was notarized by bank. Once at DMV, [redacted] was informed that a duplicate title had been ordered in 2005 by owner that we were NOT aware of. At this time, we immediately contacted owner and did locate updated title. We also immediately ordered a new one from D MV, next day air at our expense. [redacted] was explained that an honest mistake was made by owner and the NEW updated title would arrive the next day. [redacted] would not listen and became very irate. At NO time did salesman threaten, offend or tell tasteless jokes to [redacted]. At NO time did anyone in our office speak to Mrs. I. [redacted] continued to claim we had committed Fraud, which in fact did NOT by any means. As of today, 11/**/15, [redacted] was given updated title, accompanied to DMV and boat was registered. [redacted] was also given a $500 refund from owner for his time and inconvenience, of which he only requested $300 initially. In addition, Wright Island Marina also gave [redacted] an additional $600 for valve services to the motor. Salesman washed entire boat, including pressure washing bottom, and launched boat for [redacted] at NO charge. Salesman also provided a hand written chart for him to find his way out of harbor and head towards his home in Brooklyn. [redacted] overly thanked us and even called us to say he arrived safe. [redacted] loves his new boat! We here at Wright Island have pride in our work and business and are truly sorry [redacted] had a bad experience, that was really a simple DMV glitch. We all know what a headache DMV can be. We more than compensated him for his troubles and hope he is satisfied with the end result. I can personally assure you that at NO time were any threats, jokes, disrespect or inappropriate comments made to [redacted]. THANK YOU for giving us the opportunity to post our side of the story.
