I rented a vehicle from the company Wryde on 10/08/2019 at approximately 11am. The company rents out vehicles to use for rideshare on the *** and *** platforms along with personal use for a weekly fee . I paid 300$ to rent a vehicle for a week however on the day of 10/12/2019 at approximately 7pm the vehicle began to have mechanical issues that caused the vehicle to have to sit and not be used . On the day of 10/14/2019 at approximately 12pm noon the vehicle was taken to the mechanic where it was diagnosed and deemed unable to drive. I was told that the next day 10/15/2019 I would be placed in a *** at approximately 6pm which turned out to be not available when that time came , they said that they would get another vehicle together and reimburse me for the days I missed by giving me complimentary time to drive another vehicle before having to book another week of rental . However this couldn’t get handled in a timely manner because there wasn’t any vehicle available that they could put me in , bills were pilling up that I would have paid with my *** earnings which I could not do because of the situation at hand so I opted to request a refund so that I could go and rent a car from another entity on the day of 10/17/2019 . They initially agreed but said my final bill would be 264.29 of the 300$ I paid for the rental 50$ for a late fee from a rental I booked with the company and returned late after my week rental ended which I counted as fair and another 214.29 for the days I used the vehicle even tho I was only able to use the vehicle 4 of the 7 full days I paid to rent it for and was not provided with anything after the malfunction that happened , also the company rents by weekly basis and not by the day so I decided to counter request a refund of 250$ of the 300$ I paid them because of the 50$ late fee from months ago and because I paid for the service of a weekly rental which was not fulfilled and wanted a full refund . They then decided that they didn’t want to work with me because of “the way I was acting “ and decided to neither place me in a vehicle to reimburse the first one failing before my week was up and decided not to send me a refund at all so now I have paid 300$ for a week vehicle rental that did not make it thru the whole week and was not placed in a secondary vehicle compensate the malfunction and missing time and I have received no refund at all , the company has stopped answering my calls or any attempt I have made to contact them at all , ( over 60 phone calls ) so I am out of my refund & won’t be granted a vehicle to use to reimburse anything because the company has cut off contact with me and opted to abandon the situation.
