I ordered wine through a promotional offer which included a set of wine glasses from Reidel One of the glasses were delivered broken The company sent replacements that were not the same then refused to correct the error Instead they insisted that the second set was the same until proof was provided to them in the form of picturesOnce they could not rely on the first argument, they claimed the first set should not have been sent and the second set was what I was supposed to receive, inexplicably, in order to avoid delivering what they had agreed to provideThey do not act at all fairly in the interests of the customer in my experience and I would recommend against doing business with them

I joined the wine club before Christmas last year, and was due for a renewal shipment in March. After being notified of an upcoming shipment I contacted their customer service to find out what was in the planned shipment. The membership was a gift, and the recipients only drink whites - which was what they received for Christmas. Customer service informed me they could send a case of Chardonnay, and gave me a projected delivery date of 3/12 - 3/16. After a couple of days I got another email telling me I was due for another shipment in a couple of weeks, and I noticed a double billing to my credit cards. I informed them in several emails that the case of Chardonnay WAS my renewal case, and that no further shipments or payments would be accepted. The price for both deliveries would be the same. Shipment was received on 3/12, and I paid for it.
Despite several notifications that this was my renewal shipment, and that no further deliveries would be accepted, I received another email today that another case had been shipped. Their customer service appears to be completely non-receptive to any customer concerns even though their website clearly states that the members have the option to cancel at any time. I have never had this much trouble with any vendor, and it is truly astonishing that in the day of Amazon and associated outstanding service that you will find this kind of disregard for customer feedback

Received an offer letter from WJS Wine Club as we used to be members. The offer was for $50 off any 12 bottles of wine with free shipping, in addition to any other offer or discount on the site. After selecting a case of 12 wines neither of the offer/voucher codes provided in the letter would work and produced an error message which stated to call the toll free customer service line. I did. The customer service rep took my order and when I gave her the codes said they did not work. When I asked her about the offer letter I received, she asked for the code again, and then said that there had been an error in the offer and she would have to put me on hold while she checked it out. I was then put on a 15 minute hold before I hung up and called back. I again got what I believe was the same customer service rep, but she said she had no record of the call, and so again I attempted to place my order and again was told the codes did not work and would have to be put on hold while the agent checked to see what was wrong. This operation is a scam. The vouchers are a scam. They are designed to get you to invest your time and possible start to place an order because some research somewhere states that folks who do this will still go through with an order in spite of not getting the discount that is promised. Again, in my opinion, the offer/voucher/discounts are a total scam.

Initially, WSJ Wine was a good service that provides decent wines with reasonable prices. The problem arose when I began receiving wines without authorization. Returning wines was difficult, and I decided to cancel my account. Several months later, I received notification that another case has shipped and my credit card had been charged. I'm now in the same position as I was several months ago, holding the bag. Only this time, I'm infuriated because this is tantamount to credit card fraud.
