I was looking for a banker to help find creative business financing for our business with little to no credit. I had worked for 12 years on getting the "business credit" out of my personal name and was looking to start building business specific credit and needed CASH to expand our building and remodel. I contacted [redacted] with WTL BUSINESS financing to do so. I told him how hard I had worked to get the business credit out of my name and asked if he had any business line of credit programs. He assured me he did and even sold the promise that he did not have to pull my personal credit....all he needed was for me to sign up with a free credit report company and then send the free credit report to him (saving me from being hit and just making sure that I am a safe responsible business owner). Long story short, he sent an application to all kinds of CREDIT CARD companies including Capital One telling me that I was getting "lines of credit" with these companies. When I checked later that week I see that all of the companies (6 total) pulled hard inquiries causing my personal score to be affected, and I got personal credit cards in the mail with horrible terms and nothing at all like I was sold (I was specific that I needed lines of credits to get cash to pay contractors....could not even use the credit cards if I was desperate!). THEN to add insult to injury he got all of the credit cards in my personal, and my husbands personal names!!! NOTHING was under the business!!! I filled out the application for the BUSINESS to get a LINE OF CREDIT. When I talked to him about my experience he got extremely defensive and called me names. Here are ACTUAL QUOTES from his emails to me so you can see the kind of person you would be dealing with....."There are no misunderstandings..you just hear what you want to hearâ¦plain in simple" "You such a liar ! I NEVER said anything about you getting a CHECK and I MADE IT CLEAR it was Credit ONLYâ¦your BAD!" "Im done with you..Im not calling for anything. twisting the truth into some ridiculous statementsâ¦FOR what? Im just basted by your statements.."
In the end he took fees from my checking account for getting me credit cards personally that I could have applied for myself. He refused to take responsibility, he went totally crazy with unprofessional attacks, and never offered to make it right by applying for business credit for refunding fees. PLEASE BEWARE.....DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR FINANCING....You will regret it. There are so many other better options. The week after I got offers from other lending institutions to build our business credit with no fees!
Lousy customer service and not willing to cooperate with me after I had misunderstanding with their employee. We were on completely different page and he still charged me after I was clear that I am not ready to use his service but he jumped ahead. I do not reccomend this service to anyone.
