Wtlc is bad for your health, upon my entering the shelter I was told by one of the ladies that I would get sick, and "everybody gets sick" when they come in to the shelter. I didn't make any prejudgments nit really wanting to believe what I had heard, but I got really sick myself and I then asked around and found out from other "residents" that getting "real sick" is a part of the program. Not only Did I get real sick, but was treated like [redacted] during my time of being sick, and was even told by Sandy the the program director (or program Supervisor) what Did I want them to do baby me, and that they ain't nurses..... yes
I ended up back and forth in and out the hospital after getting sick so she also asked me why they didn't keep me if I was so sick.... yes
My doctors note was ignored (which I still have a copy of) and I was never allowed to rest for three days and hydrate as the note said. Some of the staff are very rude and inhuman!
The shelter now has a bunch of garlic that was never there as ive been told, it's there now because I talked about reporting this place. The place has roaches just freely crawling around and "staff" say they are coming from the big ones outside. No fumigation? The toilet didn't flush when I went over to the daycare house and there was pinesol sitting in the toilet to mask the smell, and they said that they had to plunge it.Yess
The sprinkler is leaking on people in the kitchen. The cleaning supplies are barely there and supplies very very limited. The mop I used on the bathroom floor was so nasty that I had to rinse it 7 times before the bathroom floor would get clean. Speaking of bathroom! It was so nasty when we got there I had to scrub tons of mold out the tub, made my head hurt I scrubed so hard for about forty minutes. The floor I moped four times, had to clean the toilet inside out, the tile on the walls was dirty with strands of hair every where, the sink was nasty too with strands of hair, I even had to clean walls and light fixtures. I had to give the bathroom a complete makeover. And only thing I was told was to deepclean it every day. The beds were made upon our arrival , but I washed those because if the bathroom was that nasty I could only imagine how the covers were. ... needless to say data details don't even follow there own guidelines and procedure, this place is trash. Food sits on the table while every body walks past talking and laughing so everyones saliva is on your food when you get to it. TRASH
