This work was preformed in Feb 2015. We had worked for the customer previously in 2013. They left keys for our plumber to enter the home and do the repairs to the toilet and replace a lav faucet.. The customer did not specify they wanted a quote, and it is not our policy to quote service work. Service work is billed by the hour with a flat rate service charge .The plumber had to have a 2nd plumber to help him with the pedestal to get the faucet out and apart. The original bill was $408.00, $38 for parts and 3 1/2 hours of labor, 2 1/2 for pedestal and 1 hour for toilet. Labor is charged from the time our plumber leaves the shop until he gets to his 2nd job..After speaking to the the husband about the bill in March, I spoke to our plumber about the job and called the customer back and relayed the information from the plumber about the job. and told him the job was labor intensive and the bill was as billed. It not company policy to have our plumbers call every customer that that has a question about their bill. All are capable of helping to answer their questions. An $18.00 finance charge was added in June ,3 months after the work was preformed, and a statement was sent to the customer reflecting this. . At the bottom of every bill it states, unpaid balance after 10 days will incur a 1.5% monthly charge. An additional statement was sent In Sept with no finance fee, and a final one in Nov with an additional 3 months finance charge. stating that this was going to collections.We tried for 9 months to collect this bill. Spoke to the customer once and left a message at their home, and sent 3 statements. When this bill was sent to collections it was $408 plus $36.00 in finance fees from Wulker Plumbing. The collection company ads on their fees on top of the bill. To resolve this matter, if customer will pay the original $408, we will remove the Wulker Plumbing finance charges of $36 and the collection companies charges, and suspend the collection proceedings.. Payment of $408.00 must be received by Feb 10. After that it will be turned back over to the collection agency for collections and the fees will be reinstated.I sent a copy of both the work order and bill to the customer and to the Revdex.com in our previous inquiry. The cost of the faucet has no baring on the cost of the labor. If there was a $500 dollar faucet involved the cost of the labor would remain the same.
