Paid a Backorder on Sept. 02, 2020, promised delivered by the time frame of 3 to 4 weeks at the most, when I complaint on Friday 02 of October was told today Monday 05th of October that my order will be cancelled and money returned, because they couldn't handle a customer written complaint! Now, who will return to me my time wasted now? Plus I am ordering from overseas, it is like a double damage to my business!

Desired Outcome

Delivery I have a BMW non dealer motorcycle business in Danta Cruz de la Sierra - Bolivia, today I asked Doug Shaw, IF he was going to cancel my backorder and return my money and he said: Yes! So, I have proceeded to File This Complaint on the premise that they don't want to deliver on time as promised saying that they are not the factory to tell me, when the parts are available!

Hello, I work at Boxer2Valve, a motorcycle parts distributor in Hendersonville NC.
We specialize in BMW Motorcycle parts and service. The customer from Bolivia actually contacted us in mid Aug, 2020 inquiring about some parts he needed for a 1978 BMW R80. There were more than 30 emails and many phone calls regarding 2 motorcycle he was working on, his desire to set up an export distributor pricing, conflicts over payment terms and research on roughly 20 parts, The customer placed an order for 3 parts for 109.00 plus 10.00 shipping.

At the time of his order, we were out of stock on 2 out of the 3 parts he wanted. I clearly communicated to him that our suppliers in Europe were were backordered and typically these shipment arrive in 3 or 4 weeks. Especially during the 2020 Covid shipping issues, we are certain never to promise situations we have no control over. I received numerous calls with him complaining and there seemed to be a disconnect with him understanding the fact that we are not the manufacturer, only a distributor.

The customer refused to pay by our required wire transfer for international orders because in his words " was pain in my *** " He sorted out the payment through a credit card through a family member in Ohio. We were concerned with fraud, as this is a big problem these days and this seemed like a risk to us.

On Sept 16, The customer sent an email regarding a friend of his who was flying to Miami from Bolivia on Oct 1 and would be leaving back to Bolivia on Oct 7. His obvious desire was to save freight and duty charges on the back order. I informed him that I while I hoped that the parts would be here by that time, but once again, that this was out of our control because we are not the manufacturer. As the flight of his friend became closer, the customer became more and more aggressive and rude with his demands of these parts being to Miami for this commercial flight. Never was a there a promise of our freight shipment from Germany arriving in time and this was communicated clearly.

After the flight left, we received yet another email complaining about our service. After discussing this with the owners of the company, I wrote the customer back and suggested, based on the difficulties we had from the start, he find another supplier that will work better with " requirements " of payment, delivery terms and his style of communication. He called shortly after and increased his aggressive tone.

We have credited the customer in full for his pre-payment and we choose not to have a business relationship with him in the future.

He is lying, up to today! He hasn't returned all the money!

As previously stated, all pre - payments have been refunded . We consider this issue closed.
