These payments were applied to other dates of service in which I could not disclose to the mother. For the current account balance, the patient portion after insurance was $1508.77, we applied a 20% discount ($301.75) in which we expected a payment in full of $1207.02. The mother sent in a payment of $821.96 which leaves the balance of $385.06. Again, the 4 payments were not applied to this particular account.I am going to mail print outs of the payments and itemized statements direct to the patient. WVUH stands firm on the balance owed of $385.06. If the patient doesn’t pay this balance within 90 days the account will be in jeopardy of aging to collections at which time the discount will be removed and she will be expected to pay the full amount due of $686.81.
