I have lived at The Oasis for eight yearsIt used to be a wonderful place to call homeThen, enter NorthStar managementRents began to increase pretty drastically year after yearWhat ever happened to cutting long term tennants a break? The coin op machines have doubled in price ($to wash and dry), yet the machines are old and constantly under repairMy biggest gripeutilitiesUtilities are included in rentYet EVERY spring, tennants must email and argue to have the air conditioning turned onGoing days if not weeks at plus degree temperatures with no A/CThis year, the chiller that cools the entire complex was removed in DecemberA new one was not ordered until marchSo far we have endured nearly a week of plus degree temps and are told it will be another 7-days before the chiller even arrivesIs this even legal?? We are not offered alternative cooling or compensationJust left to suffer in degree apartmentsThe once beautiful courtyard seen in the website photos was torn up a few years ago to replace the irrigationNow, it is no longer a lush, green courtyardRather a muddy flooded messThe grass outside my door is flooded and muddy all day longWhile I understand that NorthStar must make a profit, there is something they refuse to understandthis is our HOME

I have lived Sahuaro Point Villas since September of 2015 (8 months), I have lived most of the time here with my roommates fighting to get the management to fix MANY issues such as heat and air for weeks sometimes months without. Recently withholding rent until fixed and then attempting to pay same day everything was fixed to be denied payment and be charged fees for being late. Showing management the emails and calls to the office trying t get maintenance to come fix the Ac, Heater, Hall lights stove etc.. and showing law stating that if living conditions are not met that I can withhold rent until fixed which means no late fees. They have refused to waive late fees, management refuses to speak to me, only being able to speak to receptionist other then 1 time. They are wait days to contact me back causing more late fees to be added on and site where payment is made has still not refunded rent paid that they are declining after a week. I am now being threatened with eviction due to their poor practice and refusal to speak to me (management). I have also been yelled at by receptionist over the phone and by receptionist at Sahuaro Point Villas site as well. She screamed at my roommates in front of new residents. She refused to send me my sign lease requested multiple ties and corporate's number and her managers. when asked for nearly anything all that is received is attitude and never what you are actually trying to get.

I had been laced into collection but I had disputed claim with investigation and came back as deleted This company is not attempting to garnish my wages due to stating they had evicted me from a property rentalStating it was due to having a dogthis cannot be possible as I do have a service dog and have had a service dog since early With medical documentation to prove sotherefore if that is the case this would be a violation of ADA ( Americans with disability act) There was never any eviction notice givenas this company is claiming they sent me one when at that time I was living in a completely different complex under a different company so how can this be possible with paper work proofI had an investigation done with documentation proof that this should have been deleted of my record which after an inquiry was done this company does not show upNo summons was ever provided but yet claims they sent me notification but have yet ever received any said notificationI D

I have lived at mountain village apartments for monthsThe last have been totall [redacted] due to new neighborsI have so many complaints, thought we were making progress but for the 3rd time we have a new landlord who knows nothing of the situationI have emailed Northstar, called them and haven't got anything back from themNorthstar is a jokeThey don't care about there tentens My neighbors have broken two of pictures by slamming there door so hard causing them to fall off the wallOnly one person on the lease but started with people living there, now .The list goes on of disrespectAll my other neighbors have complained

Oasis in the City Apartments (Phoenix, AZ) has been my home since April of and for the most part I had considered this time a wise choiceHowever, I have come to realize that the positive experience I have had with this property was a result of the Office Manager who went well above and beyond the call of duty to make all the residence feel welcomed, taken care of, and safe in our little unit communityYESTERDAY, without warning they fired the office manager and the realities of the property management's greed, and callous behavior has come to light and without the compassion [redacted] the former office manager myself, and other residence have finally lost our patience with the way the property is managedOur grievances include a cent per load increase (Dec1, 2015) on the washer and drier, despite the fact that the machines are old, constantly breaking, and quit working when they forget to collect quarters and the machine is fullThe property managers do not offer enough paid hours for the maintenance person so jobs are always backed upAlthough the maintenance employee himself, does excellent work, he seems to be regularly pulled away from the repair requests of residence in order to appease the management companies by doing odd jobs that would allow them to make more moneyLast Fall, we were notified of a week project to put in a new sprinkler system and new lights for the courtyardThis project drug on for multiple months and was done so poorly it had to be redoneAs a result the beautiful courtyard that is an advertised amenity has been patchy in areas, swampy from pooling water in other areas, and several spots are growing black moldI have seen no efforts to improve the quality of the courtyard, nor did management make any apologies or accommodations for the extension of the project which left most of us with torn up patios and muddy walkwaysWhile all of this has gone on rents have increasedThis includes the fact that they still advertise "free utilities" but are tacking on $for water, sewer, and trash with all lease renewals this yearIt is my belief that if you are receiving a poorer quality product you should not pay more for it, not do I believe that a company should advertise things that they do not provideAlthough, I love my neighbors I am ashamed to hand my hard earned dollars over to this company every month
