I went for an easy teeth filing1) The dentist cut a big hole in my mouth, which was bleeding for a few daysI had to pay and visit urgent care and buy antibiotics, pain killers and ice packsThe wound is still there - itchy, red and bumpy2) The filings were not smooth, not polished, have many facets and attract more dirt and make these two teeth stain much more easily till now3) I need to pay and get another dentist to redo the dental work and probably cosmetic work to flatten the woundI've taken photos

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
1) I NEVER received a check from the dentist. I've moved out of that apartment on their file for 8 months already; the mail forwarding already stopped at 6 months. The office never contacted me for updated address. They need to cancel that 'Mar 31 check' so its not deposited by the current renter. I left their office a voicemail about this yesterday and never got a response.
2) I dropped my request from $1400 to $500 just to seek the very basic reimbursement. Besides the dental cost he mentioned, as I pointed out in my previous correspondance, I paid out of pocket expense for antibiotics I was prescribed at the urgent care. Also, I had to purchase over the counter medications to heel the wound, such as iodines, pain killers etc etc. Additionally, I incurred travel cost to their downtown office and urgent care. I am not seeking compensation for pain and suffering this time because I was nice and want to make it easy for him - IF I GOT THE $500 (just a slight round up of his offer) CHECK FROM HIM BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK.  
3) I can seek 2nd opinions but I can NOT afford the cost out of my pocket as I don't have dental insurance right now. Dr L** needs to pay for that before I see one of his recommended dentist. Also, I should see someone I choose, not one of his contacts. 
4) I never got any response from him since Sep 2015 despite I followed up with his office many times by email (can show proof upon request) and by phone. I've not got the time to contact dental quality board, lawyers etc to try solve it with him collaboratively.

Your letter dated March 23, 2016 in regard to complaint lD [redacted] was not receiveduntil March 28, 2016 due to the recent relocation of my dental office. A refund check of$454.00 was issued to complainant on March 31, 2016. This amount reflect thepayment received from complainant's dental insurance...

carrier of $279.00, partialpayment from the complainant to us for our services of$125.00 and complainant'smedical co-payment for complainant's urgent care visit of' $50.00. patient's totalout of pocket expense was $175.00 ($125.00 + 50.00). On March 22. 2016, complainantcalled to threaten and demand compensation and was told that due to the recent relocationof my office our internet services were disrupted and were not available, access tocomplainant account information wasn't possible. Complainant was told  a responsewould be made: no later than April 1, 2016. Our internet service was finally restored onMarch 31, 2016.Complainant's wound was the result of the abrasion on the mucosa (skin in mouth) fromthe side of a dental rotury polishing instrument and was not a deep puncture aperforation caused by the tip of a sharp rotary instrument. The wound was superficialthough bleeding. Complainant was informed of this inadvertent incident. The woundwas disinfected with dental laser which also would promote wound healing. The woundwas also cleansed and medicated with local antiseptics. Complainant was also giveninstructions to care for the wound. including the do's and don'ts. Complainant was alsogiven a return appointment for follow up of the wound. Complainant did not and has notreturned.In my previous communications with and responses to complainant's threats anddemands, complainant has been repeatedly urged to seek help, advice, and opinions fromother qualified dental professionals as complainant insisted that complainant's woundwas not healing, although there was and is no pain from the wound. qualified dental professionals of complainant's choice were recommended. As per March22,2016 conversation with complainant, complainant flatly refused to seek Help andopinions from any dental professionals. Complainant previously demanded Icompensation of$1400.00. Without receiving proof of persistent, lingering damages andloss, I feel that the refunded amount of $454.00 is reasonable and appropriateComplainant received three dental fillings on June 1, 2015. The wound was associatedwith one of the three fillings. Complainant's insurance paid $279.00 for my services ofproviding three fillings. This entire benefit amount of $279.00 has been refunded toclaimant, not just the benefit payment of one filling which was associated with thewound. II am sincerely apologetic for this unfortunate. inadvertent incident that happened to thecomplainant. Complainant's unwillingness and refusal to seek medical/dental help forcomplainant's non-healing wound is perplexing. I am sincerely requesting Revdex.com'srecommendation in settling this matter should Revdex.com feel that my response to complainantis unreasonable and inappropriate.
