In response we are going by what the patient told us A mentioned before we would never bill out a procedure a year later As you see the procedure was billed out when services are rendered Patient agreed to pay for services and was clearly explained doctor she was seeing was out of network As a curiosity to the patient we billed her insurance for reimbursement for what their allowance might be Since we are not a contracted office we do no have to accept insurance payment for these services As mentioned my *** *** we were willing to reimburse her for insurance payment However since she insisted on not accepting it we have returned that payment back to the company To make it clear we only got paid once not twice, so accusing us of double dipping is misleading and unfair This agreement was with the mother and she understood exactly what was being done and she agreed What discussion she had with her daughter after the services is out of our hands
In response to the letter received 1/**/2017. Patient was advised that the doctor she was seeing was a non-participating doctor and her denture would not be covered. At no time would we ever advise a patient that we would bill for a procedure the following year; that would be insurance FRAUD....
Insurance was billed to get any reimbursement for the patient for services rendered. Patient is upset because reimbursement from insurance was not the full amount. As stated the doctor she saw was not a doctor affiliate with [redacted], it was an out of network doctor. Patient was in a rush to get dentures done and did not want to wait for a pre-authorization under her regular dentist cause she had a wedding she needed the teeth for. Therefore, she was willing to pay to get the services done. Same complaint was put in to insurance and credit card and their request was denied due to the information provided. The patient was never told the doctor was out of network she specifically called her insurance to get a dentist close by that would accept her insurance. This unfortunately was the one they informed her would take her and is the closest to her. She was lied to and told her insurance only covers the procedure every four years and she still needed another year for her to get a new denture. She was told they would bill the insurance in a year if she paid for it now and they'll give he back the money one the insurance gave it to them. So aside from fraud they steal from their clients too because they took her money and two weeks later she got the bill they charged her insurance as well. The need to wait a year was a lie from them, also my mother had no wedding nor has she been to a wedding in years. When we called to ask for our money since they don't need our money and the insurance money they were only willing to give back the price that was charged to the insurance which was $83. This is a robbery! They took our money AND the insurance money. First they denied billing the insurance until we had to send them a copy of the bill and suddenly they remembered but now they are denying stating they would give us our full amount. I tried going through the credit card company and they did deny it since technically it was authorized by my mother to withdraw however it was under false pretenses and lies from them. Since the credit card company was unsuccessful we are now trying through the Revdex.com because they should be allowed to get away with this.
