I called the Westin Washington DC to cancel a reservation which I thought I was doing as a courtesy only to be hijacked and informed that I would be charged the full nights stay
I was very confused and I reminded them that the reservation was made less than hours ago, to which the agent proceeded to inform me that it was a 'prepaid' - I asked her to explain to me what that even meant since I never heard of it
I also explained to the agent that it was the secretary who initially made the reservation, and that I was asked to use my CC to hold it and I called on Monday Feb in the afternoon to do itThe recording will show this fact
During that phone conversation I was NEVER informed of any regulations or limitations to such reservations otherwise I would not have booked this rate
In addition, I called the Westin times on Monday to request an email confirmation which I NEVER received - especially that the agent on Tuesday at noon told me that she did not see
