My Initial email to [redacted] was on October 16thand outlined my dissatisfaction with our stay at her establishmentI also made her aware that I had contacted her at the suggestion of [redacted] with whom I had already filed a complaint withIn addition, I also offered her the option of resolving this by crediting me back as fair compensationOctober 21stI received a letter from [redacted] acknowledging the receipt of my email and a statement that that my compliant was under investigation and as such, they could not reply with my request for compensationI followed up with another email on October 23rdthanking her for responding to my letter and encouraging her to replay back to me with a resolution by the end of the weekA week later on Octsent another email because I had received no response from [redacted] On November 2ndI received a response from a MrsHeather M [redacted] informing me that they had received no reply to their inquiriesIt was at this time that [redacted] stopped communicating with me.On November 3rdI reached out to MrsM [redacted] to try and clarify just what was being investigatedIt seemed confusing to me that the items I had detailed as dissatisfying would take this long to investigateMy assumption is that [redacted] would examine the room and find that the pictures I had sent had indeed been accurate and that there was some merit to my complaintOn November 4thMrsM [redacted] responded with following statement"Our credit card processing company is investigating your disputeTo this date, we have not received any payment for your stay of three nights." It was at this point, I believe it became clear to me that [redacted] had no real interest in investigating my complaint but rather she was only concerned with getting paidOn November 6th and the 20th I sent two additional emails to MrsM [redacted] and received no responsesIn these e-mails I informed her that According to [redacted] , Wydnor Hall had been paid in full on September 27thI also informed her that since she chose not to respond to me for almost a month, I had reinstated the dispute with [redacted] and that unless they agreed to my original offer of a credit of by the end of the week, that I would seek a full refund.Neither MrsM [redacted] or [redacted] made any effort to reach out to me after my last two emailsI would also like to point out that the credit card processing company in conducting their investigation never reached out to me at any time to discuss the disputeI also find it concerning that in a response to the Revdex.com on December 21st [redacted] claimed that the credit card processing company had conducted an investigation and found my complaint without merit when they never contacted me.At the time of sending my last email to MrsM***, I filed complaints with both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office of PennsylvaniaIt's my understanding from the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office that neither MrsM [redacted] or [redacted] responded to either of the agencies initial requests for a responseI was however contacted by an attorney that was engaged I believe by [redacted] He offered the credit I originally requested if I would retract my complaints to both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General Office as well as removing any negative reviews I may have made onlineI informed the attorney that since I had refiled the dispute with [redacted] , that I may have been compensated already but that I had to checkI told him that if I wanted to proceed with the offer, I would reach out to himAfter confirming that [redacted] had compensated me in full for my stay at the Wydnor HallI did however, choose not to communicate with him until I had received copies of the responses from both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office.I have since received the responses that were sent to the Revdex.com as well as the Attorney General's Office and honestly was surprised at [redacted] s responseHer statement that [redacted] **, the credit card processing company investigated and found that my complaint had no merit, is in my opinion untrue since they never contacted me as part of the investigationAdditionally, her comment that my wife and I are not used to staying in older facilities and should have stayed at a more modern facility is honestly insultingThe most shocking to me however is that a yellow flyer from Wydnor Hall was included in the reply (I've included a copy of it within the document) and it continues to portray the establishment as? something it is notThe following text "The handsome Georgian Manor House was restored and renovated with immaculate modern amenities and exudes the atmosphere of a tranquil private retreat"Having read that I can only ask, which is it, a yr old inn where we should expect the things I complained about or is it an inn with and I quote "immaculate modern amenities".It can't be bothThis is advertising.I won't degrade myself by replying in kind to her with insultsI made a complaint because I believe the advertising was deceptive and that the part of facility the we used, was unsanitary, poorly maintained and overpricedI felt as a consumer I had been treated unfairlyI sought what I thought was a fair resolution but was ignored until the two complaints I made were filed.I provide copies of the literature as well as actual pictures of the conditions at the facility to both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office [redacted] s response that I was exaggerating in my description of the conditions at her establishment is I believe also untrueThe literature is her own and the pictures of the conditions are realI think that anyone reviewing the literature and then comparing the statements made in the literature to pictures of the actual room we stayed in, would have to agree that the statements as to the quality of the accommodations is untrue.I have been asked to respond to the reply forwarded to me by the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's OfficeMy response is as followsI believe that the proprietors of the Wydnor Hall have dealt and are continuing to deal in deceptive business practicesI believe that the conditions of the bathroom that we stayed in were unsanitary and that the room and the furniture were in poor conditionI would hope that the Attorney General's Office would at least forward the concerns of unsanitary conditions to the local health department having jurisdiction over the area in which the Wyndor Hall is locatedAs far as any financial restitution goes, I don't believe that it is fair for Wyndor Hall to profit from their deceptive advertising and even though my credit card company compensated me, I don't not feel that they should not be made to suffer some penalty under the law or at least refund any money they may have received back to [redacted] who credited me at their expenseIn closing, I would like to state that I hope that this case is not closed without justice being served and that any organization having jurisdiction will find the means to justly penalize the proprietors of the Wyndor Hall under the law so that my experience with them is not repeated with someone else

January 28, 2018 Dear [redacted],**. and [redacted] were booked with us for arrival on Thursday, August 24th and departure on Sunday, August 27th. No complaints were brought to our attention at any point during their stay and no request for a refund. We process our payments on [redacted].com and were advised by them on September 9, 2017 that the payment was being disputed by [redacted]. We received payment in full for their slay through [redacted].com after they investigated on November 20,2017. On November 20. 2017 [redacted] requested a total refund of $195.00 for their stay, giving us a deadline of a period of one week to agree. Shortly thereafter, our attorney [redacted] accepted [redacted]'s offer. [redacted] suggested he would be in contact with us. To date, he has not called us.As to [redacted]'s complaints we find that the only one of any merit is the spotted shower curtain, which has since been corrected. Had **. or [redacted] brought it to our attention it would have been corrected immediately. Since [redacted] posted his review on [redacted].com we posted an apology there. We are annually inspected by [redacted] and have a 3-diamond rating. We would like to extend an invitation to you to come visit us. Please call us @ [redacted] to schedule a visit.Sincerely,Kristina T

My Initial email to [redacted] was on October 16th. and outlined my dissatisfaction with our stay at her establishment. I also made her aware that I had contacted her at the suggestion of [redacted] with whom I had already filed a complaint with. In addition, I also offered her the option of resolving this by crediting me back 195.00 as fair compensation. October 21st. I received a letter from [redacted] acknowledging the receipt of my email and a statement that that my compliant was under investigation and as such, they could not reply with my request for compensation. I followed up with another email on October 23rd. thanking her for responding to my letter and encouraging her to replay back to me with a resolution by the end of the week. A week later on Oct. 311 sent another email because I had received no response from [redacted]. On November 2nd. I received a response from a Mrs. Heather M[redacted] informing me that they had received no reply to their inquiries. It was at this time that [redacted] stopped communicating with me.On November 3rd. I reached out to Mrs. M[redacted] to try and clarify just what was being investigated. It seemed confusing to me that the items I had detailed as dissatisfying would take this long to investigate. My assumption is that [redacted] would examine the room and find that the pictures I had sent had indeed been accurate and that there was some merit to my complaint. On November 4th. Mrs. M[redacted] responded with following statement. "Our credit card processing company is investigating your dispute. To this date, we have not received any payment for your stay of three nights." It was at this point, I believe it became clear to me that [redacted] had no real interest in investigating my complaint but rather she was only concerned with getting paid. On November 6th and the 20th I sent two additional emails to Mrs. M[redacted] and received no responses. In these e-mails I informed her that According to [redacted], Wydnor Hall had been paid in full on September 27th. I also informed her that since she chose not to respond to me for almost a month, I had reinstated the dispute with [redacted] and that unless they agreed to my original offer of a credit of 195.00 by the end of the week, that I would seek a full refund.Neither Mrs. M[redacted] or [redacted] made any effort to reach out to me after my last two emails. I would also like to point out that the credit card processing company in conducting their investigation never reached out to me at any time to discuss the dispute. I also find it concerning that in a response to the Revdex.com on December 21st. [redacted] claimed that the credit card processing company had conducted an investigation and found my complaint without merit when they never contacted me.At the time of sending my last email to Mrs. M[redacted], I filed complaints with both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office of Pennsylvania. It's my understanding from the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office that neither Mrs. M[redacted] or [redacted] responded to either of the agencies initial requests for a response. I was however contacted by an attorney that was engaged I believe by [redacted]. He offered the credit I originally requested if I would retract my complaints to both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General Office as well as removing any negative reviews I may have made online. I informed the attorney that since I had refiled the dispute with [redacted], that I may have been compensated already but that I had to check. I told him that if I wanted to proceed with the offer, I would reach out to him. After confirming that [redacted] had compensated me in full for my stay at the Wydnor Hall. I did however, choose not to communicate with him until I had received copies of the responses from both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office.I have since received the responses that were sent to the Revdex.com as well as the Attorney General's Office and honestly was surprised at [redacted]s response. Her statement that [redacted], the credit card processing company investigated and found that my complaint had no merit, is in my opinion untrue since they never contacted me as part of the investigation. Additionally, her comment that my wife and I are not used to staying in older facilities and should have stayed at a more modern facility is honestly insulting. The most shocking to me however is that a yellow flyer from Wydnor Hall was included in the reply (I've included a copy of it within the document) and it continues to portray the establishment as something it is not. The following text "The handsome Georgian Manor House was restored and renovated with immaculate modern amenities and exudes the atmosphere of a tranquil private retreat". Having read that I can only ask, which is it, a 200 yr old inn where we should expect the things I complained about or is it an inn with and I quote "immaculate modern amenities".It can't be both. This is false advertising.I won't degrade myself by replying in kind to her with insults. I made a complaint because I believe the advertising was deceptive and that the part of facility the we used, was unsanitary, poorly maintained and overpriced. I felt as a consumer I had been treated unfairly. I sought what I thought was a fair resolution but was ignored until the two complaints I made were filed.I provide copies of the literature as well as actual pictures of the conditions at the facility to both the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office. [redacted]s response that I was exaggerating in my description of the conditions at her establishment is I believe also untrue. The literature is her own and the pictures of the conditions are real. I think that anyone reviewing the literature and then comparing the statements made in the literature to pictures of the actual room we stayed in, would have to agree that the statements as to the quality of the accommodations is untrue.I have been asked to respond to the reply forwarded to me by the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office. My response is as follows. I believe that the proprietors of the Wydnor Hall have dealt and are continuing to deal in deceptive business practices. I believe that the conditions of the bathroom that we stayed in were unsanitary and that the room and the furniture were in poor condition. I would hope that the Attorney General's Office would at least forward the concerns of unsanitary conditions to the local health department having jurisdiction over the area in which the Wyndor Hall is located. As far as any financial restitution goes, I don't believe that it is fair for Wyndor Hall to profit from their deceptive advertising and even though my credit card company compensated me, I don't not feel that they should not be made to suffer some penalty under the law or at least refund any money they may have received back to [redacted] who credited me at their expense. In closing, I would like to state that I hope that this case is not closed without justice being served and that any organization having jurisdiction will find the means to justly penalize the proprietors of the Wyndor Hall under the law so that my experience with them is not repeated with someone else.
