*** *** contacted us about moving her website over to us for hosting We met in January I told her that we would move the website for free The website was programmed in a language called *** We moved the website for free, and set up all of her emails for free
Two weeks after the website was up and live on our servers, she asked us to reprogram the entire website in ***, which is completely different softwareWhen we sent the bill for reprogramming the website, she refused to pay for it We moved the website for free as promised We did not promise or imply that we would redesign the website for free After some back and forth via email, she underpaid the bill significantly.In July, she gave us her credit card number with the instructions to charge the card for her back hosting We did that and her account was brought current Then she sent us an additional check for $ Many of our clients prepay, so getting a payment in advance for August's hosting was not unusual She had a new website built by someone else and canceled her account as of August 1st We informed her she had a credit for $30, but she insisted it was $ We presented her with a statement showing every invoice and every payment made She refused to accept the statement - it matched her bank account but she refused to accept that, too.I should point out that *** *** was consistently rude and threatening My staff did not have to put up with that behavior It was totally inappropriate She made a mistake by overpaying us, and then threatened us about it We have applied the $overpayment to the bill that she failed to pay earlier in the year Ms***'s intentions seemed to be to take advantage of us at every opportunity, by refusing the pay her bill, underpaying it, and then issuing repeated threats against our company and employees
