Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
*** *** never told me to bring the vehicle back and they would make the repairs at a low cost. Yes he told me to take it to another mechanic to get an estimate, assuring me that *** ***, from Hanlin Auto was probably spiking the cost of repairs. *** *** is a "friend" of mine and has does business in Byron, IL for many years. Talk to anyone in Byron, IL and they will tell you he is the best mechanic and treats his customers fair*** initial mechanical analysis, which he looked at the car the day after I brought it Byron as a favor to me, was to replace shocks, front brakes, rear brakes, driver door window did't open, windshield wipers needed a new motor. I had none of this work done then as I didn't need the car until late OctoberI canceled car insurance to "storage" insurance and parked the vehicle miles from Byron. The car sat there until October 5th, when we took it back up to the mechanic to begin making the repairs. After further inspection he found rotors needed replaced and some other things I cannot remember the name of but repairs would be close to $2000.00. We then had to decide whether to continue the repairs or to try to get rid of the vehicle all together. Golden Auto Used Cars in Byron, IL told my son he would only give us $for the vehicle. I paid $3,(I believe) That's when I tried to contact the dealership but received no return callI contacted you, who encouraged me to contact WI Dept of Transportation. *** ***, from WI DOT contacted me on my way to AZ (Friday), sent me a letter I received two days ago, sent me an email. I just got my internet set up Sat so trying to take care of these emails. She called me yesterday and said she needed me to send the "warranty" showing the things that had been checked at the dealership, the cost of repairs broke down, miles when purchased and miles on the vehicle today. I contacted my son who lives in Byron, he has contacted the mechanic to get the repair break down and he will fax all to *** *** who is going to the dealership next weekShe knows the owner (Bill Wyss) and will talk to him personally. If you need any further information, please contact me by email. I left IL on October 20th and just got here last Friday PM. Today is Tuesday the 27th and it takes some time to get internet/cable, etc in my place.Thank you for all your help with this matterI'm a widow that probably should not be out trying to find a decent car on my own but thats what happened
Regards,
*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID
***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Mr *** Did contact me on 9-8-to make an offer for me to surrender the car and he would refund the moneyHis response was that he had spoken with the representative regarding the Revdex.com claim and it was in the best interest just to buy the car backI also believe this was best due to I had just called and left two messages with Mr *** and got no response until he was notified by the Revdex.com*** *** called me Friday Sept8, to bring the car that night or SaturdayI let Mr *** know I could come first thing Saturday and we discuss a time of 9:On Saturday 9-9-around 9:I arrived to return the vehicleI was given a check for the amount of $and a letter to cash at his bankThank to the Revdex.com for assisting with this breach of contract and getting me a resolution that was best for both parties
Regards,
*** ***

I am willing to buy back the car.

Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] Purchased car 6/30/2015 In customer’s statement she states she “purchased 2003 Buick Park Ave on June 30, 2015. Sent for repair before taking to AZ to leave at my AZ address all year.” She neglects to mention that she “sent it for repairs” more than three months after she...

bought the car.  When she called us and talked to me approximately three months after the sale, I asked her why she waited three months to call us, she said she didn’t drive the car for three months after she drove it home (according to mapquest is 111 miles). On her first visit to Wyss, Inc. Ms. [redacted] test drove three vehicles and put a deposit on a Mercury Grand Marquis.  Several days later, on her second visit she test drove 2 cars, and was strongly considering switching to purchasing the 2003 Buick Park Ave. On her request, we put the Buick up on a rack so she could look it over underneath.  She told me her mechanic friend told her what to look for, and as she looked it over we answered her questions.  Ultimately she purchased the 2003 Buick Park Ave. Approximately 3 months later, Ms. [redacted] called Wyss, Inc. and talked with me. I’m the Sales Manager of Wyss, Inc.  On two occasions during our phone conversation, I asked her what her mechanic said the car needed.  Both times she simply stated that it had “major problems that will cost $2,000.00.”  I strongly suggested she take it to another garage and get a second opinion, explaining that some garages mislead the customer by saying it needs repairs that are not necessary to inflate their bill and I again urged her to get a second opinion.  I added that our inspection of the vehicle showed that it was in need of no repairs once we put it on our lot. Lastly, I told Ms. [redacted] that we would be happy to look at the car and quote her a low price to make any needed repairs to the car. William Wyss (Owner) and [redacted] (Sales Manager)
