I had an issue with water in my crawl space Home Advisor looked like people were satisfied with ARedi Rooter..Michael D***'s work and left good ratings He was local so I decided to work with him He comes across caring and wanting to earn your trust He first decided the sump pump I currently had was inadequate and not reliable I let him replace it to the tune of $ To take care of the remainder of my water issues, he first said I needed drains along the perimeter to drain to my main sump pump To do that and replace the existing plastic was $ Then after signing that contract he decided that would be too difficult...they needed to install more sump pumps that were put in rural king buckets with holes in it and had garden hoses draining over to the main pump rigged up with extension cords They dug some trenches around the pumps I said I'd never heard of a house less than sq ft with so many sump pumps but he was so adiment that this was what needed to be done I helped pull out the plastic and then he said it would be hard to reuse the plastic...it would be easier to get new Unfortunately, I am all about making someone's work easier When I said ok to getting new plastic, they walked out and left me to dispose of the plastic I was supposed to put fans in the crawl space and get an electrician for the additional sump pumps His final bill was a total of $ There was no credit noted in the invoice from the quote of the work that they didn't do I was supposed to get 5% off but when I asked about that, he informed me that I got more because it should have been over $6000! I since have asked for a new invoice from him showing the material and labor costs times...no response I even asked for a refund of my second check ($2750) due to the fact that I had to have someone come in and redo his mess...again, no respons! To have done what Michael D*** should have done with the drain installed cost me less than Mr D*** charged for his bandaid service I would have had more respect for him if he would have said my issue was out of his scope of work to do it properly I would say consumer BEWARE if you have anything more than a clogged drain
