Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2017/11/13) */ We are in receipt of Doug [redacted] complaintWe are disappointed after all the exceptions to our original agreement that he has filed a fraudulent claim with the Revdex.com, wasting more of our time as well as yoursPlease find our documents including Doug [redacted] signed agreement on our intake forms saying he would pay for repairs within days of completionHe broke EVERY promise he made to us to pay for his repairs On August 11th Doug [redacted] arrived at our store with two phones for repairBoth phones were completely dead and had black screens even though they were completely chargedThey were completely unusableThe white phone was written up on our ticket number [redacted] and signed by Mr [redacted] agreeing to our Payment Guarantee and Liability DisclaimerSee Exhibit # The black phone was written up on our ticket number [redacted] and signed by Mr [redacted] agreeing to our Payment Guarantee and Liability DisclaimerSee Exhibit # We included a full description of our call logs to Mr***, including his agreement to the work performed and all our calls begging him to pick up his phones and pay for themHe broke every promise he made to pay us for the work after he authorized both repairsHe broke more than different promises to pay us for the work he authorized The contract that Doug [redacted] signed when he dropped off his phones specifically says, "Every effort will be made to preserve our customer's data However, the Customer agrees to hold Discount Computer Warehouse, Incharmless in the event of any data lossCustomer also agrees to pay a minimum of $labor charge for any work performed that is not covered by DCW's warrantyAll labor charges are non-refundable for any reasonCustomer agrees to pay all collection costs for unpaid work including Attorney and Court costsPayment and pick up of completed equipment is expected within days unless other arraignments are madeEquipment will be considered abandoned and discarded if completed and left more than days without any communication from the customer." Both phone repairs were completed August 15th and Doug was called letting him know they were ready and he owed us $for both phonesOnly then did Doug tell us he had no money and couldn't pick them up for two weeksWe expected him to pick them up the end of August Doug didn't call and didn't show up on August 30th as promised On September 5th we called Doug again asking for payment and reminded him he promised to pay the end of AugustDoug said he would have the money on Friday and pay for them September 8th Doug didn't call and didn't show up on September 81h as he promised We called September th' Doug said he needed another week to pay for the phone repairsWe told him this will be the 3rd time he's promised to pay for these repairsWe told him we expected payment no later than September 18th which will be more than a month since repairs were completedHe agreed to pay before September 18th Doug didn't call and didn't show up to pay for his phones as promised 11.We called Doug on September 19th explaining how we at least need a partial payment for the repairs he authorized over a month agoHe said he was waiting for a payment from an employerWe explained this is ridiculous as he authorized these repairs and been stringing us along for over a monthWe told him he needs to make a good faith effort and at least pay something on them or we're exercising our non-payment clause in our contract and selling these phones to recover our repair fees Doug stopped answering our phone calls and made no effort to contact us after our call begging at least for a partial payment September 21st we executed our non-payment clause putting the phones up for sale after we removed all the customer's data from both phonesWe considered the phones abandoned and believed Mr [redacted] was never going to pay for these repairsHe made no effort to make payment arraignments and broke previous promises to pay 14.We put both phones up for say for $each in our store on September 23r October 14th a friend of Doug [redacted] called our store asking if the phones were still available for saleWe said they are and she asked if she could pick them up for the original $repair feesAlthough we had them for sale for $each because we had to put more work into them before we could sell them (clear the customer's data), we agreed to sell them both back to Mr [redacted] and his friend for the $original repair cost 16.0ctober 14th Mr [redacted] s girlfriend arrived saying she only had $and asked us for a discountWe said no, She purchased one phone for $leaving the other phone hereShe said she would be back after the first of November and if the phone was still available she'd purchase it October 30th, Mr [redacted] arrived at our store with the phone we repaired asking us to reload the phone because it was running slowThis phone was originally brought in not working at all with a black screenWhen he brought it in this time the phone was still working with the screen showingHe said it was running slow and wanted us to reload it We told him he could just go to settings and reset his phone himself because honestly we didn't want to work on any more of his phones after going through such a hassle to recover our repair feesHe asked if the other phone was still available and we told him, "no, it sold last week"He was disappointed, his girlfriend called saying we should have contacted her before selling the phoneWe couldn't believe what we were hearingDoug [redacted] knew back in September these phones were up for sale because he didn't pay for the repairs as agreed At no point was Doug [redacted] truthful with usHe brought in two phones for repair without any money to pay for repairs! We don't require money before repairs believing in customer good faithWhat person takes equipment to be repaired without any money to pay for repairs???
