I am writing this complaint because the owner does not care about the development of the players but only collecting his fee. He makes a lot of promises but never keeps them. My son had to go through some very bad coaching and I mentioned it to the owner and he promised that he would handle it but he never did.Desired SettlementRefund me the fee that I have paid since my son was never thought anything but the bad coaches that he hires.Business Response Unfortunately this sort of thing happens in youth soccer. The coach in question is a qualified instructor who coach's at the collegiate level. He is also a former division one college player. He simply made a decision in regards to the overall welfare of the team. Mr [redacted] took exception to that decision.The player in question was a member of our elite program. There are no requirements as to the amount of playing time similar to say a recreational league. Playing time is based on the best available at that time and what the coach feels as his strongest team. Everyone in the program understands this. This is a highly competitive program. The issue began at a tournament in [redacted] the weekend of April 24/25. The team Mr [redacted]'s son played for had a total of 3 games in the first round. Mr [redacted]'s son played in each of those games. The team then made it to the final where Mr [redacted]'s child was dropped in favor of another child ([redacted]) The team went on to win the final. While I understand it is not easy being dropped for a final, the decision was made for the best interests of the team.Upon arriving back to Raleigh, I met with Mr [redacted] and discussed the matter. I completely refunded his money for a tournament that his child played in 75% of the games. I also purchased back a used uniform as he wished to quit the program. I then reimbursed him money for a future tournament he had already payed for. Mr [redacted] decided to quit the program and in all fairness I did not technically owe him a refund.To say I do not care about the development of players is 100% false. This is not about how we develop players but why his boy was dropped in favor of another player. Nothing more nothing less. I have 10 sets of parents on that team who would back up these statements.
