30 Days doesn't mean 30 Days to this company
Switched to SHW because previous company would not add appliances to existing contract or sign an additional for the new appliances. Signed with SHW on 16th of the month. 32 days later A/C unit failed. Filed claim since we were past the 30day waiting period. After waiting 30 days for a repair we were informed that the first 30 days were merely processing time for the contract, at which point the contract would be active. Additionally, that date now became the contract active date and we had to wait an additional 30 days for the contract to become "Active". Bottom line, the waiting period was actually 60 days, not 30 as stated on their paperwork.
I was told that we should pay to have the repairs performed and submit the receipts for complimentary consideration of reimbursement. Also, I was told that cancellation of the contract would provide little monies returned due to the early termination costs and the fact that we had filed a service order for which they had to pay a contractor fee.
At this point would I recommend this company, NO. They need to be more forthcoming with the terms and time-periods definitions on their contracts
