At Xpert Tile and Hardwood Installation we are committed to providing every client with professional installation and customer service. We take complaints very seriously and want all of our clients to be satisfied and proud of their new installation. With that being said, when we left this job at 8:30 pm on April 9,2016, our client was very happy with the work completed. We performed our normal walk through with the client after we cleaned up the job site. The client was ecstatic and loved her new laminate flooring. Earlier in the day, our client stated,(as she chuckled) that her children is never happy with any work that she has completed by an outside Contractor. She specifically told my helper and I not to pay any attention to her children if they nit pick and find something wrong with her new floor. Although there was some problems with the installation because the material was purchased at a wholesale outlet,we managed to finish the installation.Our client told us that her daughter purchased the material at a wholesale outlet. (Our clients daughter is also the person that submitted this complaint).The Laminate Flooring would not fit together because the tongue did not come close to fitting the groove. The Laminate Flooring was rejected material that was sent to a wholesale shop for purchase at a discounted price. This job should have taken us approximately 6 hours to complete. We were there 10 hours sanding, chiseling and manipulating the material in order to get a proper fit and installation. I have plenty of pictures to show that the new Flooring was properly installed. The transition strip was not improperly installed. The transition from the existing Laminate Flooring to the new flooring was approx. an 1/8" low on one side because the new material that the daughter purchased was not the same width as the existing floor also have a picture of the check I received from the client. It shows a 600.00 sum of money paid to us. The client watched us struggle and fight the warped, low grade flooring all day and apologized to us with a bonus of 93.00. The original estimate was for 507.00.I told our client that she didn't have to apologize with a tip but she insisted. If anything, there should have been a change order on this job for the new electrical outlet that we installed behind the clients refrigerator. The existing outlet was broken and was a definite fire hazard. We provided and installed the new outlet at no additional charge. We re installed the baseboard that was removed before we started the flooring installation. Our client wanted to keep the original baseboard even though it had many imperfections because it was very old. We caulked the top of the baseboard and filled the nail holes with wood filler. I don't know why our customers daughter mentioned that she bought new baseboard in this complaint? New baseboard was never mentioned between the client and myself. As far as a chisel is concerned, I have no recollection of myself or my co worker having a chisel that belongs to our client. I have double checked with him and he said that he did not see any chisels on the job except for the ones we brought with us.l will send our client a 3 pack of chisels ASAP with a Thank You card that all of our clients receive. Our client has not contacted us one time about any problems with her flooring installation. It's been her daughter doing all the complaining in which our client already warned us about. These allegations against Xpert Tile and Hardwood Installation are completely false.
