I have had the WORST experience with xplornet and I would not recommend them to anyone!! We moved out of our place for June 1stWe had a technician sent out and told us we were not serviceable at our new locationHe said he would send a form in and we would not be charged a cancellation fee for this inconvenienceSince then they have taken payments and won't reimburse us PLUS we have to pay the cancellation feeThey do not value their customers at ALL!!!

xplorenet satellite latency issues were not fully explained to me upon sign upTurns out its not very good for gamingI passed the day no hassle guarantee before it became a problemOn cancelling service latency issues are not a recognized problem for to cancel fee free...beware

It took several phone calls and monthly payments to have my service disconnected after I moved out of my homeI was cited as being the one at fault because I did not speak to the correct departmentIt was only after the third call and third monthly installment was taken out of my account that I found out I would be receiving an early cancellation charge for about half of what I had already paidI would not recommend using this company's service

Xplornet is a company who doesn't provide the service you sign up for, but takes your money each month for signing up with them, [redacted] [redacted] Not saying anything more because (most) anyone who has been a customer of theirs, knows and can relate to what I am saying They advertise in words also to attract more customers They are not reliable, they are not fast (they play with internet connections) AND they definately are not affordable! I was pushed to sign up for their mbps package by Xplornet truly, and guess what my speeds areI mostly get below mbps mbps on a $monthly bill, that's frustrating and tonight my husband called them TWICE, and not getting anywhere with them, I broke down in tears They like money but not providing any service to their paying customers Now they want to downgrade my package to fit their equipment? I'm a stuck internet consumer and I'm mad Been with them since and was hoping they would get better, but no they got worse! [redacted] X [redacted]

We have accounts with xplorenet because they don't offer a plan to cover our usage.(family of with no gamers) Every evening between and 11pm if we are connected the speed is ridiculously slow and we are told that it is weather in Winnipeg (we are in SW Ont), our trees, network congestion or technical difficultiesWe believe that they have overloaded their system with customersLast summer we were told that they would be launching new satellitesOne before Christmas and the second early in the new yearA year later and these satellites are not upHopefully the million the government announced on July 25th for high speed rural internet service will cover our areaI would switch providers in a heart beat!

Absolutely the worst internet service, and customer service I've ever dealt with in my life
We used Xplornet for a little over yearsIn that time, we never once received the speeds advertised, and were met with nothing but attitude when we decided to brave the minute waits to get through to a customer service repAfter gigs of usage a month, our service was supposed to be slowed to 150kb/s, but instead was throttled to a point where most pages would be unusableTheir throttling practices allow facebook and youtube to operate quickly, but completely halt email and voip servicesHow the CRTC allows this to continue and the government provides grants to support this joke of a service is beyond me
Finally alternatives have become available in our area, and we couldn't be more happy about cancelling our service
I would not recommend this business to anybody

I finally have the speed I am paying for with the 25Mb LTE packageI've been with Xplornet for over years, one of the first customers in my areaUnder other protocols I had horrible serviceAt one point, I was one of the first with 4G, and initially was 3-4Mb on a 5Mb package, but that degraded very quickly to 300Kb/s as they overloaded the link over timeI have been on 25Mb for over a month without degradation so far, however I am still skeptical as I've seen this too many times where you get service when you are first, but then Xplornet overloadsOnly time will improve my rating and trust

I used Xplornet for almost eight years because there were few alternatives in our home area I spent many, many hours on hold only to spend many more hours on phone calls with technical support staff Service is slower than promised, the response from Xplornet is that there is no minimum or it is not guaranteed Happy to be in a new location were we do not need to deal with this company any longer Consider all other alternatives before engaging in business with this company

Xplornet internet was down for 5 days this week. We have had this service for 5 years as it is the only internet service available to rural residents. It is regularly down and is extremely slow. Sometimes it takes an hour to download a newspaper. The VOIP phone cuts out after 1 minute of use on a regular basis. Worst internet service.

this is a stay away company. charging over 100$ per month for a 5mbps that rarely provide 1mbps. signed in in June and just sign off as [redacted] is now providing real Internet in my area. Xplornet want to charge me an extra 425$ for not staying with them which would mean that Xplornet have no shame to charge over 170$ per month for providing weak satellite 1 to 3 mbps Internet service.

My husband contracted Neighbourhood Disposal when we were unable to bring the garbage to the curb for pick up. Neighbourhood picks up on the property in a location that is convenient to our physical limitations, and we never had any problem with their service. They changed the pick up location for me so that, as I am in a wheelchair, I can manage to get the garbage and compost out and ready for pickup right outside the front door. I couldn't manage without their service. Thanks to them I have one less worry about staying in my home.

Being with xplornet for a year and a half...solely because they are my only choice for Internet in my location, I have decided to cut my Internet off rather then deal with them. After being forced into a contract for 1 year which I would "only have to do once" I called to upgrade my services as I am getting 60gb for $80 a month a speeds so slow I can only have a tablet or cell phone connected doing one thing at a time. They kindly told me I had to sign another 1 or 2 year contract to upgrade my services. Well I would rather go with out Internet..or continue paying the $40 a month in overage charges on my cell phone because the Internet is too slow to load pictures even.
Absolutely terrible customer relations. I will steer everyone away from this company.
