Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Would like MrHunt to acknowledge that the "machining" work was not done at all up to the quality that is common and expected from a "Turbo Shop", that it was not done with precision tools but rather that it was performed in a manual fashionOnce they receive the units back we would like a formal acknowledgment of this and a comment on their findings when looking at the actual "machined" housings] Regards, [redacted] ***

I believe at this point it would be best for us to grant the refund and settle the issue, I am not convinced the turbos are at fault and have seen no evidence and for the last year and a half, customer has not worked with us or given us a chance to inspect and get to the source of the problem , I believe if we do rebuild the turbochargers again and there continues to be issues we will find ourselves further into the same problem and I am sure the turbochargers will continue to be blamed for the problemAlthough I find it unethical for a business to request a full refund, keep the item and refuse to accept the possibility that there may be other existing issues, sometimes its best to cut your losses and walk away

We are shipping two used chra's and three oem housings today and including a return label, upon receiving our housings and the new chra's we supplied a refund will be issued

First, these turbochargers were purchased over a year ago *** *** *** motor cars did contact us aprox months ago but was not willing to work with us at all to resolve the problem, Did not wish for us to look at them, was not willing to return them, just wanted to keep them and
requested a full refund. We gave a substantial discount to *** motorcars( $vs $standard price) but so far we have not seen that the problem has been resolved by installing any other turbocharger or any proof that our turbocharger are the main problemWe installed new turbine shafts, compressor wheel and a complete rebuild, (bearings ,rings, seals etc) on both turbochargersIf they are willing to return the rebuilt turbochargers I am willing to refund the full amount and exchange for a pair of used turbochargers they can use as cores to buy from another rebuilder or I am willing to accept the rebuilt turbochargers back and use the toward a set of brand new oem turbochargers. ***

Not quite sure why the complaint on the Revdex.com , we agreed for a full refund once the chra and machined housings are returned this morning .We will send replacement oem housings back to replace the machined HousingsThe only reason we wish not to attempt to replace despite hours helping and replying
back to *** is he continues to insult us but wishes us to do more work for him so I think it would be best to offer a refund and part ways

Ms***,
Here is my response to Mr***'s complaint: I went out and meet Mr*** at his houseHe showed me where he thought it was leakingIt was a
cold/dry day and we had no specific area as to where the leak was coming from other than Mr*** stating it was coming from the chimney area
We scheduled him a few different times but the weather was not always cooperative, either snow or rainWe did get the repair done on January 7, and at that time we were responsible to repair around the chimneyWhen our crew showed up at the job Mr*** requested to have the chimney removed and decked overAlso for us to install a PVC pipe for his high efficiency hot water tank which was run through the chimney, so we accommodated Mr*** by removing his metal chimney, step flashing and counter flashing and installing decking, ice guard, shingles and cap shinglesUpon his request installing a inch PVC pipe and boot to his hot water tank and we informed him at that time that Puffer Roofing is NOT a plumbing company or heating company and that we were not responsible for any damages caused by removing the old pipe and installing a PVC pipe for a water heaterMr*** said that according to the water tank installation instructions, it is ok to use a PVC pipe for hot water tank ventingMr*** acknowledged ok to this pipe and agreed Puffer Roofing was not responsible for anything other than installing the pipe
At some point, after we did the entire roof in 2012, between September and January, 2016, a new PVC pipe was installed for a furnace, right next to the chimney, which indicates that someone other than Puffer Roofing worked on the roof installing another pipeAt that time that PVC pipe was installed the counter flashing we installed was cut to accommodate their PVC pipe and boot next to the chimneyI have no knowledge as to who installed the PVC pipe and if the metal chimney was compromised when they removed the old furnace pipe and installed the new pipeTherefore I do not believe Puffer Roofing had any issues with the roof at that time.
In good faith, we did agree to removing the chimney, installing the pipe and replacing a section of drywall in his utility roomHe was not given a time schedule since over the winter we are on a reduced staff status as we are a seasonal companyNothing was ever mentioned about any carpet in any conversation between Mr*** and meWe would be glad to set up a time and repair the drywall ceiling in the utility room to accommodate both schedules
We are requesting from Mr***, the date that the new furnace and hot water tank were installed and also who installed these items

I believe at this point it would be best for us to grant the 625.00 refund and settle the issue,  I am not convinced the turbos are at fault and have seen no evidence and for the last year and a half, customer has not worked with us or given us a chance to inspect and get to the source of the problem , I believe if we do rebuild the turbochargers again and there continues to be issues we will find ourselves further into the same problem and I am sure the turbochargers will continue to be blamed for the problem. Although I find it unethical for a business to request a full refund, keep the item and refuse to accept the possibility that there may be other existing issues, sometimes its best to cut your losses and walk away...
