is $35k Please understand that we never accept an application fee if we can tell at the time of discussing the property that the an applicant has a low chance of acceptance In your case, we were hopeful that your background checkwould go smoothly We especially appreciated that you let us know upfront that there had been some legal matters and some problem with neighbors at your prior residence that had nothing to do with payment of rent When Dora R*** told you that if you were interested in the property she would suggest putting in an application as soon as possible, that was to let you know that affordable rentals rent very quickly An application is incomplete without the application fee and is not considered until the fee is paidWhen we looked into your application more fully our concern was that the property was very close to another property owned by the same owner and we became unwilling to take any chances on some type of conflict arising in a close quarters situationHaving two previous interactions with the law was taken into consideration as well I hope you will believe that we did not wish to harm you by denying a rental and that we were certainly not taking your $as a way to profit ourselves We are under contract with the owner of the property to make these tough decisions People apply knowing that until the application is approved, there is a chance of non-acceptance XTROV processes hundreds of applications and we are only interested in making good matches between tenants and properties I am sorry, but the application fee was paid for services rendered which would not justify a refund We wish you the best in you new location and we hope you will understand our position Sincerely, Katherine C***
