Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[We are rejecting this response.   My complaint has not been resolved because Ihave yet to be refunded the $5275.00. He never mentionedanything about being there in person.  While it was agreed via phone that we would bring the jeep to him that has nothing todo with the improper work he completed.  We have colored pictures that were taking showing the color is not correct andthat it is missing bolts around the door panel.  The pictures were taken immediately once the jeep arrived back at ourshop.  We immediately called and texted him the pictures to show the color was wrong. Clearly the body of the paint did not match and even he did not dispute that fact it was wrong.  The credit card was declined because the zip code was wrong and you can verify that with the bank. There was nothing inappropriate going on.  Regardless of any reviews they have absolutely nothing to do with this issue. You clearly stated in your text that you would come to fix the mistake that you clearly admitted to.  You led usto believe that you would be there to fix the mistake.  You then waited till the morning you were supposed to be here to fix your mistake to call and  stated that you did not have time to come tous and that you expected us to prep the jeep so it would be ready for you if you were to come.  That alone is ridiculous!  If we did that type of work we would not havehired you in the first place.

The Owner of [redacted] refused to ever come to our shop. We told him that we don’t do work that far from our location and if he wanted to do business with us he had to bring the...

vehicle himself but he insisted on sending it in a tow truck and not come personally. Not one time that we were agreeing on the job did I ever speak to the real owner this is all with [redacted]. We had to do everything over the phone and through text. When he chose the paint he texted us the paint code and the picture of the paint and we specifically told him that the color he chose which was a dark grey was going to look almost black because we are doing Line-x which is a special protective coating paint not regular paint and Line-x is a no Warranty product once it’s on it’s on for life and he said he knew what was Line-x and how the texture and product was made of and he said ok. When we finished the job we put the j eep back together th ere was no missing bolts around the door panel like he said. We asked if he was coming to pick up the jeep and he said no that he was going to once again send a tow truck. We told him we usually have the customer come to the shop see the work and pay before they take the vehicle and if there is anything that they think they want us to fix we do it right there for them, which I can say till this day that has never happened with us. But he refused and wanted to pay with credit card when he gave us the credit card it declined twice. We started getting a little suspicious with him so when I googled his business he had very bad reviews from many of his customers in [redacted], [redacted] and 6 complaints in Revdex.com. We then asked him to fill out a credit card authorization form because it was over the phone and that he is authorizing us to charge his credit card and a copy of his ID which as a business owner I think those are the necessary documents to ask for. We told him when we use Square which is our credit card company they charge us a percentage to use a credit card over the phone which we specifically told him and he said ok. When he contacted us about the problem I told him that we specifically told him from the beginning the color was going to be darker because of the Line-X. This is why I wanted him or the actual owner to come to the shop and not only communicate through phone and text, but he always refused. We are not a mobile business which he knew this is why we told him we cannot go to another location to fix the Line-X he needed to come to us. I know that with all of this going on not one time did we ever speak to the actual owner which I always found very weird because I know if we did we would have come to an agreement if he wasn’t satisfied with the job and he would have come to the shop. I had done many jeeps and trucks in my Shop with many businesses and not one has ever complaint against me you could find ou r work in [redacted] and [redacted] and we are also credited with the Revdex.com and we never had anyone talk about us like this man.

I did mention to [redacted] to come in person I told him our customers that do those type of Jobs to there vehicle come in and tells us exactly what they want, but he refused and said that he didn’t have the time. The color was not wrong that is the color he chose and like I said we specifically told him the color will be different because of the texture of the Line-X and he said ok. We are not a mobile business and we cannot go to another location to fix Line-X he needed to come to us, [redacted] knew all of this from our first conversation. We never refused him to come to us if he was not satisfied he could have always come to the shop to resolve the situation. The reviews and what customers say about you have a lot to do with everything it has to do with your credibility and it shows that you are an unreliable person.

Review: We came to an agreement with XXL Auto Body to strip a Jeep and shoot it with a specific paint code to get a textured paint on the jeep and prodived XXL Auto Body the paint code that was to be used. It was a dark grey metallic. XXL Auto Body worked on the jeep and provided a sample of the jeep's grill and confirmed with us that it was correct. We confirmed that the color on the grill is what the entire jeep was to be completed in.

After having the jeep for two weeks we had to have it towed backed to CT on a flat bed truck. We incurred the cost of the two back and forth.

We were waiting along with our customer for the truck to arrive with the jeep. As soon as it arrived we inspected the jeep, noticable already aware tht the color was wrong. The jeep is missing bolts around the door panels as well,

We immediately called XXL Auto Body and sent them pictures of via phone text mesage telling them that this paint job is wrong and unacceptable and the customer wants to have it fixed immediately. XXL Auto Body text back that they are not disputing the color is wrong and the grill does not match the rest of jeep or the fact that it was black and not the dark grey metallic.

XXL Auto Body would not release the vehicle unless we provided them a credit card number to charge and on top of it charged an extra 225.00 to use it. So they had their money plus some prior to us or our customer seeing the final product.

XXL Auto Body agreed that they would come to Connecticut and fix their mistake on 4/*/15. The morning of 4/*/15 XXL Auto Body called and stated that they did not have time to spend all day in CT fixing the jeep.

XXL Auto Body then proceeded to tell us that "we" needed to strip and prep the truck. Clearly if that was something we did in our business we would not have sent the jeep to XXL Auto Body.

Keith at XXL Auto Body was not only rude and used foul language he refused to even have the jeep towed back to XXL Auto Body to fix their mistake.

We have not been able to recop the funds for our customer and had to contract with another auto body shop to have the problem fixed. We have put out double the money because XXL Auto Body would not honor their work.Desired Settlement: We are looking for full credit of $5,275 to be refunded. This does not include the cost of the two back and forth however that should be considered as well.
