Save yourself time, frustration and your hard-earned money - DO NOT hire this company They do not return phone calls and do not show up when promised

This company was contracted to perform two jobsOne job was completed with very poor results and we have since hired another contractor to finish the siding installation properlyThe other job was never completed or even startedAs the second job was for an awning that was not stocked at their facility, they demanded full payment upfrontFor many weeks after the job was promised to be completed we was unable to reach them via phoneCountless messages were leftAfter physically locating the company and showing up at the business, they promised a full refund after many excuses and dozens of unreturned phone callsWe still have been unable to reach them nor have they refunded the paymentWe were forced to take legal actions to recover the payment

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below At this point neither response from Cool Breeze has been a solution offered to resolve the complaint What all of this boils down to is, will Cool Breeze stand behind their work, honor their year warranty or will you be satisfied with having an unhappy customer by not doing anything more than attempting to argue or point out your company's side of the story? The inspector who come out and inspected for the final inspection would not of passed the project if the electrical was not complete (smoke alarms) The inspector was forced to come out on multiple trips for the final inspection due to the smoke alarms as well as some outlets upstairs not being wired correctly Tim [redacted] ended up having Steve B (a subcontractor he uses) come out on a couple of different trips to get the original work corrected, so it did finally pass inspection If needed, I am sure contact can be made with [redacted] , the town's inspector, to support the trips he had to make before clearing that I did not say that Cool Breeze left the work on that incomplete, but that even though it took multiple trips out and a lot of time, it eventually was completed, which made me think this was a company who stood behind their work and was willing to truly follow through on their promises Dry wall cracks are do to the house settling nothing can be done about thatThe idea that dry wall cracks are something that happens and nothing can be done about that surprises me There were a number of cracks that occurred during the initial project and there was a separate person sent out to correct those Are cracks something that is not covered under warranty work then or is it more likely that the warranty doesn't really cover anything? The Shirley's hired the HVAC guy not usWhile the introduction to the HVAC guy was from Tim [redacted] of Cool Breeze, I was not making any comment about how we ended up deciding to use him I was trying to give a clearer picture of how we had to focus on dealing with that Cool Breeze did not do any work in the kitchen if they hired one of our installers (not saying that's what happened) and they did it on the side we are not responsibly but again we did not do anything in the kitchen There was not any extra work done in the kitchen, just the work that was done by Cool Breeze all around the kitchen One specific thing done over the kitchen was a beam that was installed for support Also, another point that was missed is how you stated that the representative that came to check for any leaks was not able to get on the roof because of snow that had just fallen and said that without doing that he would not be able to really tell until he did that He may have told someone there that there was no leak, but he did not say anything like that to me and said he would have to be back to check the roof That has not been done I went ahead and attached pictures to show you exactly what exactly I was talking about if a representative is unwilling to return a call from me, reply to an email or text or make a trip out here to look at this The first is the staircase that looks more like one to a basement since it does not have the skirt board, instead of the entrance to our master area upstairs The next two are pictures to show how the drywall was not done properly on the staircase to where the stair had to be cut to fit and the ceiling does not match the design of the ceiling everywhere else The last couple are of the crack on both sides of the wall where the door was installed Thank you Regards, [redacted]

To say that 2/21/14 is the first time we have contacted anyone from Cool Breeze regarding the work being "completed" is inaccurate.   We have called about a few things over the course of the last year and a half.  Tim and Lonnie have personally been here to talk over our needs and what we identified as not being completed.  Each time that we have had a representative out to discuss what needs to be fixed (electrical for the smoke alarms tied together to pass code, as an example) we also brought up the skirt board for the stairs, the drywall of the walls and the ceiling, etc.  As I said in my initial message, those issues were passed over as something that could be done because of different reasons.  In the example of the stairs not having a skirt board which was something we stated before the stairs were ever put in, but Tim was not part of the project at the time of the stair installation, we were told that it wasn't going to be possible to pull up each tread, put the skirt board in, and then cut each tread to fit properly back into the space.  The drywall was an issue from day 1 of the subcontractors being there to do the work.  There are many instances of unevenness, tiny holes throughout and the finish work of the ceiling to match what was currently there is no where even close.  There is also a huge crack now in a wall from the ceiling down to the top of a door that was installed along with the separation of the countertop from the same wall where the door was installed.  We had been involved in a small claims litigation with a subcontractor you had used at our home for work he had done as the contractor on our HVAC.  Not to mention that we have 5 kids that keep us spread pretty thin.  To say that we could have stayed on things like a bull dog and held on to it until we finally got what we thought we had paid for is extremely difficult.  While the house may be in a livable condition, I don't feel that what we talked about before the entire project, what was paid for throughout the project, and what we have right now were all the same thing.  If you would like to personally come out and take a look at what we are talking about, I would appreciate it greatly.  I have tried on numerous occasions to reach out to Tim since he sent his nephew over to look at our roof and have not heard back from him, his nephew or any other representative of Cool Breeze.  When that happened in the past, I chalked it up to being busy and as long as I got a response in a few days, I didn't complain.  We are talking about months of no response at this point, with me even going as far as coming to your offices personally, leaving one of my business cards and still not hearing back.  The lack of response, planning, etc is what is prompting this.  Over the course of time since the project started I have been more than reasonable and patient.  This latest round has led to this and has shown me that if we do not get everything addressed either by Cool Breeze or another company that you are willing to pay for their services, we are likely to be stuck in a situation that people tell as horror stories or you see on the evening news and reality shows.  We honestly are not confrontational people.  However, we started all of this with the intent of providing our family with a beautiful, comfortable home and are currently in one that I don't think you or any employee of Cool Breeze would be happy with the outcome to date given the investment of money and time we feel that we have put into it.  I think I have addressed and properly explained the timing you mentioned.  I also think you can understand why I am not able to accept that as resolution to the issue(s).  I was told that Cool Breeze is a company that stands behind their work and had a 5 year warranty agreed to in support of that.  We are well within that timeframe and I hope to see it delivered on.  Thank you for your response and I will await your response or scheduling one of your representatives to come out to plan or ultimately fix this.  Thank you.

[redacted] the biggest thing I see if they had all of these problems why did they wait to contact us 2 years after the room was built. The 1st time contacted us was 2-21-14 thinking they had a roof leak which we went out and looked at  which we did. No leak was found. The other thing is...

we didn't do anything in his kitchen at all just a door on the dining room.
Thanks,
Ernie

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
At this point neither response from Cool Breeze has been a solution offered to resolve the complaint.  What all of this boils down to is, will Cool Breeze stand behind their work, honor their 5 year warranty or will you be satisfied with having an unhappy customer by not doing anything more than attempting to argue or point out your company's side of the story?
1. The inspector who come out and inspected for the final inspection would not of passed the project if the electrical was not complete (smoke alarms).  The inspector was forced to come out on multiple trips for the final inspection due to the smoke alarms as well as some outlets upstairs not being wired correctly.  Tim [redacted] ended up having Steve B (a subcontractor he uses) come out on a couple of different trips to get the original work corrected, so it did finally pass inspection.  If needed, I am sure contact can be made with [redacted], the town's inspector, to support the trips he had to make before clearing that.  I did not say that Cool Breeze left the work on that incomplete, but that even though it took multiple trips out and a lot of time, it eventually was completed, which made me think this was a company who stood behind their work and was willing to truly follow through on their promises.
2. Dry wall cracks are do to the house settling nothing can be done about that. The idea that dry wall cracks are something that happens and nothing can be done about that surprises me.  There were a number of cracks that occurred during the initial project and there was a separate person sent out to correct those.  Are cracks something that is not covered under warranty work then or is it more likely that the warranty doesn't really cover anything?
3. The Shirley's hired the HVAC guy not us. While the introduction to the HVAC guy was from Tim [redacted] of Cool Breeze, I was not making any comment about how we ended up deciding to use him.  I was trying to give a clearer picture of how we had to focus on dealing with that.
4. Cool Breeze did not do any work in the kitchen if they hired one of our installers (not saying that's what happened) and they did it on the side we are not responsibly but again we did not do anything in the kitchen.  There was not any extra work done in the kitchen, just the work that was done by Cool Breeze all around the kitchen.  One specific thing done over the kitchen was a beam that was installed for support.
Also, another point that was missed is how you stated that the representative that came to check for any leaks was not able to get on the roof because of snow that had just fallen and said that without doing that he would not be able to  really tell until he did that.  He may have told someone there that there was no leak, but he did not say anything like that to me and said he would have to be back to check the roof.  That has not been done.
I went ahead and attached pictures to show you exactly what exactly I was talking about if a representative is unwilling to return a call from me, reply to an email or text or make a trip out here to look at this.  The first is the staircase that looks more like one to a basement since it does not have the skirt board, instead of the entrance to our master area upstairs.  The next two are pictures to show how the drywall was not done properly on the staircase to where the stair had to be cut to fit and the ceiling does not match the design of the ceiling everywhere else.  The last couple are of the crack on both sides of the wall where the door was installed.  Thank you.

Save yourself time, frustration and your hard-earned money - DO NOT hire this company. They do not return phone calls and do not show up when promised.

I have looked into this matter and learned that because of an over site in the accounting department it was missed, however it has been corrected and the refund will be mailed out this Friday 8- 8- 2014....
