Received voicemail from debtor on 6/19/stating that they currently reside in Japan. They said they were calling via Skype so there was not phone number for a return callDebtor stated they would call again later but understood that it may be difficult due to time difference
Received another voicemail from debtor on 6/stating that they give permission for their mother to handle account, however, we had not been able to verify the debtor’s identity via their birthdate/social security number and we could not discuss the account with anyone without that. On 6/we received an email from the debtor stating that they would like to resolve this matter and that they give permission for their mother to be point of contact, yet we could not respond to the email/give any information because we could not verify it was the debtor’s email address. On 6/we received call from the debtor and they verified their date of birth & SSN, and gave verbal permission to discuss account with their mother. On 6/we received another email from the debtor stating that they had called and gave a verbal request to have their mother handle the account on their behalf and that they would like to get this resolved and possibly update their address. Email also stated that they would be working on sending a certified letter as well, and that they would try emailing me in a couple of days On all occasions that debtor attempted contact (except on 6/22) we were unable to verify any of their personal information, and document her verbal permission to discuss her account with her mother. Therefore, we were not able to move forward with the account in any way until 6/22/

Due to privacy laws, we are unable to address any specific debtors complaints to the Revdex.com In general however, the mini-miranda is required on only the first contact and is included on our first notice to debtors (the first contact) Verification of a debt is only required if the debtor
requests it in writing to us.Thank you for your attention to this matter

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]This company is violating Federal Law and I will be taking legal action against Yakima Valley Adjustment Center if they again fail to respond to my complaint. Both the Revdex.com and The Attorney General of Washington have been made aware of this. My knowledge of the FDCPA is extensive and this company is not only throwing out personal information without validating the debt, they are violating federal laws put in place to protect consumers like me. If I do not receive a call from Yakima Valley Adjustment Center within the next 5 business days, they will be hearing from my attorney.
