We took our 2006 Ford F-150 for a maintenance tune-up. When we picked it up it was running great, my husband went home (approximately 3 miles). An hour later we got in the truck to leave and it was running very rough. We brought the truck back early in the morning and was told it's not related to anything they did, even though the diagnosis code was related to one of the cylinders. They wanted to charge us additional money to diagnose the problem further before giving us a quote.

The funny thing about the whole situation is a similar issue happened to my brother-in-law three months ago and my parents several years ago. The initial quote given is reasonable, they fix it, and once the vehicle is home another problem crops up requiring more diagnosis and of course, more repair work. Once or twice maybe I would think this was possible, but three times, no!! I will not recommend or return my vehicle to this establishment.

My horn had stopped working, so I took it here to get fixed. I was there 3 different times for this issue, the first being to diagnosis the problem, the second to fix the problem and the third to fix the problem again. As a courtesy, on the first visit they checked my squealing brakes, they physically took the wheels off and inspected them and stated my front brakes had only 20% wear left on them, and my back brakes were still in good shape. On the second visit, they fixed my horn by replacing the Clock Spring mechanism. The horn worked when I left there, but a few hours later, it stopped working. On the third visit I took it back to them and one of the ground wires had come unconnected. They then connected it and my horn worked great. The same mechanic worked on my car all three times. He made a note on the second visit that he had checked my brakes again and stated that I had only 15% wear left on the front and that my back brakes were "metal to metal". He did not remove the wheels this time to inspect the brakes. Two weeks prior to this I had been told that my back brakes were still good and had no issues. How does one inspect something without physically taking the time to look at the item they are inspecting? Also, on my bills from both visits, I was charged close to $50 for shop supplies....there was nothing listing what shop supplies they used. The Office Manager then read me a list of all the potential shop supplies that may or may not have been used on my car and explained that they charged a flat rate for shop supplies on all their customers. In this list that she read from there was not one shop supply used on my car that was on that list....when asking Heidi to please remove those charges as there was nothing that had been used on my car, she stated, "No, those charges will stay and won't be removed." That's illegal to charge a customer for something that wasn't used. Also, on my last and final trip there the mechanic had said that my back brakes were still metal to metal and making a grinding noise. He didn't realize that I had already been to another mechanic and had my front brakes replaced and my back brakes inspected, I was told by this new mechanic that I had about 75% of wear left on my rear brakes and he took them off and cleaned them and sanded them down. After that, my brakes didn't squeal at all, they were completely quiet, but the mechanic at Yakima Automotive still stated on paper on my third and final visit that my brakes still needed replacing and the rear ones were still metal to metal and they had already been done by another mechanic. Not happy with this business, and will never go back. My total bill was $530.00. I finally, however, did get most of the shop supply costs removed by a really nice gal running the front office. She was the only pleasant experience about this business. This has been a couple of months ago, and I still can not stop thinking of what a horrible experience it was.

Had a fuel pump replaced. Returned vehicle three times telling owner I can smell raw fuel and have gas leaking out. They said all is good can't help you. Eight months later my vehicle is leaking a massive amount of gas. Another repair shop looked at it and said seal around fuel pump was never put on correctly that' s why fuel is pouring out. I knew something was wrong, since I could smell fuel all the time. This company does bad work and never gets the job done. This is just one of many problems I have had with them. Finally got disgusted and decided to report them. Please don't' waste money or time there.

I am a proud Volvo XC70 owner and have always had my car serviced in Bellevue at the Volvo dealership. Recently, my car began stalling and besides paying a hefty bill to have my car towed to Bellevue, my only option was to find someone local to help me. With a little research and some recommendations, I took my car to Yakima Automotive. It was immediately obvious that the fuel pump need replacing, but what followed was very unexpected...for the sake of time, I won't go into all the details! However, the customer service I received was by far the best service I've EVER had in Yakima. And I've lived her over 30+ years! I want to personally thank [redacted], [redacted] (owners), [redacted], [redacted], and the techs for investing so much time and commitment to getting my car up and running again. I won't brag about all of the nice and accommodating ways they went over an above to make sure that I was taken care of while my car was in the shop, but I can guarantee that they will take care of you and your vehicle with as much heart. Excellent Job Yakima Automotive!! [redacted]

I've been taking my vehicle(s) to this locally owned family business for over 10+ years for maintenance and/or repairs. I've never had any problems that they didn't resolve to my satisfaction. They've provided me with quality work in a timely manner, as well as giving me costs and options prior to work being performed. My experience has been positive and I'd recommend them for any maintenance or repair needs
