Yankee Fleet Fishing

*** was aware of our policy which is written on the email confirmation she received when she purchased the tickets as well as on our website. The policy states that tickets will be held up to minutes prior to departure and with other passengers on board there is just no way
we could hold the up the boat. She did inform me that she stayed overnight at a hotel right in the same small town as we are located so she should have been able to get here with plenty of time. Usually in this instance we would give the customer vouchers to come another day but she came in the office that morning yelling at my staff and being very unreasonable. (1) The response from Yankee Fleet towards the complaint is exactly why the complaint was filed in the first place Unethical business protocol and poor customer service Customer service is apparently not the concern to Yankee Fleet as customer is the one to blame. (2) The language of the sale "holding the reservation up to minutes prior" is confusing Holding the reservation and charging in full without a refund is not clearly stated Since Yankee Fleet sold the reserved seats because it claimed to have a full boat and couldn't hold up the boat, then why would the business still charge and not provide a refund? We certainly did not cancel the reservation and did not receive any service. (3) The boat does not offer "gluten-free" option as indicated through 2 separate e-mails This is important as one of us had celiac disease and must have gluten-free food option for an all-day fishing trip It was indicated to Yankee Fleet on May at 6:51am through a phone call that we were waiting for *** *** to make gluten-free sandwich since the option was not provided on the boat, thus why we had the delay (4) We reserved a hotel to stay the night prior to the fishing trip, so there was not going to be a hours drive very early in the morning, Yankee Fleet should refund the hotel stay as well.
