The store [redacted], [redacted] refused to give me change from my purchase.I went to Yankee Food Mart to purchase gas. The gas pump was broken and I had to pay inside which I paid [redacted] with a debit card. I was only able to put [redacted] into my tank and when I went inside to get the difference the store [redacted], [redacted] gave me my receipt but no change. The receipt clearly states that he owes me the difference and that I am being charged [redacted] for the purchase. I asked him about this and he refused to look at the receipt and claims that like a credit card that I will only be charged for the [redacted] no matter what the receipt says. I went outside and called my bank who told me that it is not like a credit card purchase and that the total being charged to debit is [redacted] and it should post tomorrow. I went back inside to inform the [redacted] that the bank did confirm that I was being charged the full amount which is what the receipt says. He started telling me how banks work and that they are wrong that the total of [redacted] will post tomorrow. He then said that he doesn't owe me anything and claimed that I wasn't overcharged.I was very courteous and let him speak but he wouldn't listen to me when I tried to once again show him the receipt or tell him what the bank told me. I asked him if I could come in and get my change once the charge posts to my account he started getting angry with me and raising his voice and told me that if I was charged the full amount that it was the banks error and it was their problem not his. He would not do anything for me.I told him that I would have to contact the Revdex.com at which he started laughing at me and told me I should just take him to court, "I should do what I have to do." He was making light of him withholding change that is due to me. To me it doesn't matter if it was ten cents, stealing money is stealing money and just because it was a small amount does not give him any right to just dismiss me, be rude to me, or think that he doesn't have to give me what is due to me.Desired SettlementI would like him to give me the change that is due to me along with an apology for being rude, uncooperative, and wasting my time on this.Business Response Re: Case # XXXXXX: Mr [redacted]First of all, I really appreciate for sending the complaint issue of Mr [redacted]. We accept the complaint made by our customer seriously. What was happened was we have made some system update and after that we have some issues with the Debit card refund (change due to customer). After we received complain from some customers with Debit Card refund we called the technical and the problem is now fixed.We really apologies for the inconvenience created to Mr [redacted]. We will give Mr [redacted] the change due and also a gift card for inconvenience we created.Once again, we appreciate for informing us about the complain. We also sent an apology letter to Mr [redacted]. Kindly forward this letter and let him contact us at XXX XXX XXXX and speak with [redacted] or [redacted]With regards[redacted]
