Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The response Crestmont Toyota gave was incomplete; they did indicate to me that they damaged my car dothe same time told me the car was sent to a body shop-without my permission.Subsequently, after determining the damage to the door was not properly repaired, I did take my vehicle to a body shop for further analysis The body shop owner gave an estimate of $to further repair the door based upon "VISUAL' DAMAGE SUBJECT TO FURTHER INSPECTION-this disclaimer clearly was indicated on his repair estimateAs I mentioned when the damaged car door's gasket was removed the body shop owner discovered that the damage to the door was more severe than originally estimated That a strip of tape was placed along the lower flange of the car door and painted in a metallic color to make it appear as a solid piece of metal When the tape was removed he could see that the metal flange was cracked along the bottom of the door which is impossible to repair.As I mentioned in my original complaint; Crestmont lied about the extent of the damage; attempted to conceal, and has refused to physically inspect the door that they damaged that, with the tape removed, clearly shows the damage to the door is beyond repair and a new door should be installed to meet the new car standard that this dealership represented to me.I have asked on numerous occasions for their mangers and service people to physically inspect the damaged door and they have refused.By every measure this was an intentional act of fraud If Crestmont believes they acted properly and in the absolute best interest of their customer then they would have no issue physically examining this vehicle Upon doing so they would be unable to claim they acted legally and more important, ethically, in resolving this issue Regards, [redacted] ***
