Review: I towed my car to this shop on August **, 2013 because 1 & 2 gears are no longer working. I spoke to the owner [redacted], he said its the clutch- I asked how much would it cost me? [redacted] said the clutch kit is anywhere from $75 - $150 dollars, & $250 for labor. I gave him $200 cash & requested a receipt. [redacted] said the car would be ready for pickup on wednesday (8/**/13), I told him I would come after work about 7pm. [redacted] called me on wednesday @ 6pm to say: He changed the clutch but it now needs a transmission, I asked how much he said $450 & car would be ready Monday (8/**/13). I deposit $500 in his acct for the transmission on 8/**/13. From 8/**/13 to present [redacted] has been avoiding my calls, I went to the shop to check on my car & was told waiting on part, my car hasnt been worked on at all. No clutch was installed. My car was parked on the street, then parked in front of the shop, now its on the lift in the shop. I call [redacted] on all numbers given to me: ###-###-####, ###-###-#### he sends me to voicemail from my cell number. I called from a friends number & he answered and said he is waiting on a part. I have text messages from [redacted] telling me the part is in but still I dont have my car. I have also taken pictures of my car.Desired Settlement: $200 - monies for clutch$500 - monies deposited in acct ( I have receipt)$150 - my parking gargage I pay monthly for work$185 - my monthly insurance$90 - toll fees ($7.50 ea way) for Thurs & fri from 8/** - 8/**$120 - $20 a day for someone to take me those 6 times on thurs & fri $65 - MTA metro cards for work from 8/** to 9/* with thurs/fri off

This to certify that the complain was made by [redacted] was not correct.first her mechanic call me and ask me to put a clutch 0n nissan maxima, Because he have to go to jury duty. I told him I will and gave him a price, told him part and labor 450.00. They brought the car that night and [redacted] gave me me a deposit of 200 dollar. The next day after I put the new clutch. The car was not having 1 and 2 gear so l call [redacted] and told her the transmission was not good. At that time I gave her a price and she told me she dont have any money left over exept my labor to put the clutch also she not on rush because her licence was suspended she have to pay ticket she needed week. A couple days passed. She deposit 500.00 to my account. The 250.00 for my labor I already work for and 250.00 toward finding a transmission . I locate one for 650.00 from flushing outo salvage [redacted] and told her. She said it was expensive. Nissan maxima transmission manual is hard to locate. In a process I closed the shop. she was calling me I told her to take the 250.00 balance they came and I gave them the car and the remain of the money.
