Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/03) */
MR*** HAS MADE FIVE PURCHASES HERE, AND HAS AT EACH TIME BEEN UNSURE OF WHAT HE NEEDED OR WANTEDI HAVE GUIDED HIM THROUGH SOME OF HIS CHOICES BECAUSE OF HIS NEEDIN THIS LAST PURCHASE, HE EXPRESSED HIS LACK OF EXPERINENCE SAYING
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE DONE THISSO USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT
THE FUEL LINES AT THE TANK TO THE REGULATER, AS WELL AS ALL THE LINES WERE TO BE MOUNTED BY MR***, AT HIS REQUEST, HE HAS PURCHASED AN EXPENSIVE FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR HIS VEHICLE AND TOLD ME HE WOULD BE DISSASEMBELING IT AFTER WE WERE COMPLETED, AT SOME TIMETHE VEHICLE HAD ITS TRUCK BED INSTALLED AND BOLTED SO AS NOT BE REMOVED BY METHIS OF COURSE MADE IT MANDITORY TO WORK THE FUEL LINE THROUGH AND AROUND THE BED ONTO THE FRAME, AS IT WAS EXPLAINED TO HIMAND YES THE PERFECT LINES THE WERE MANDRELL BENT WERE THEN FORCED THOUGH THE OBSTACLESTHEY DID CROSS AND DID NEED TO BE MOUNTED
THE FUEL HOSE WHICH I DID SHORTEN AND REUSE WAS OF COURSE TO SAVE EXPENSE, I GUESS I MISSUNDERSTOOD THIS ISSUE OF HAVING TO REPLACE THIS PARTICULAR LINETHE POWER STEERING HOSES THAT MR*** SUPPLIED HAD TO BE MODIFIED, HE MISTAKENLY THOUGHT THEY COULD BE JUST INSTALLEDTHE COST WAS APPROXIMATELY $TO MODIFY AND INSTALL THE LINES
THE FUEL REGULATER POSITIONING AND THE FUEL LINE ON THE ENGINE ITSELF HAD BEEN REQUESTED TO BE PLACED IN A PARTICULAR POSITIONTHIS POSITIONING WAS TO BE FORWARD OF THE RIGHT SIDE UPPER CONTROL ARMTHIS WAOULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH MORE COMPLICATED AND EXPENSIVE INSTALLATION, AND IN MY OPINION UNNECESSAYGIVEN THE UNDERSTOOD LATTITUDE OF USING BEST CONSIDERATION, (COST, HEAT, COMPLICATION) I DECIDED TO INSTALL THEM IN A BETTER SUITED POSITIONI HAD ASKED MR*** TO INSTALL HIS PARTS WHERE HE WANTED THEM TO INSURE THATS WHERE THEY WOULD BE LOCATED, HE DID NOT DO THIS WHICH HAS BROUGHT THIS ISSUE TO THE FORE.AGAIN HIS INSTRUCTION WAS FOR US TO USE OUR BEST JUDGEMENT
AS TO THE CONFUSION ON THE ESTIMATEI HAD CALL MR*** WITH A PRELIMINARY ESTIMATE OF $EXPLAINING THAT AS WE WENT IT WAS POSSIBLE TO CHANGEI GAVE HIM A SECOND ESTIMATE WHICH HE AGREED TO OF $THE ADDITIONAL COST HAD TO DO WITH PURCHASING A BETTER SET OF ADAPTERS FOR THE APLLICATION
IN THESE CUSTOM JOBS, WHICH WE HAVE COMPLETED TO SATIFACTION FOR A NUMBER OF PEOPLE DOING THE SAME KIND OF CUSTOM FABRICATION, TAKE A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIMEIN FACT BECAUSE OF THE COMPLICATION OF THE TRUCK BODY AND BED BEING INSTALLED, IT TOOK TWO TECHNICIANS ONE AND A HALF DAYS TO COMPLETE THE WORKHAD MR*** BEEN CHARGE THE $PER HOUR FOR THE TWO TECHS IT WOULD HAVE COST $IN LABOR ALONE
AS TO THE TRANSMISSION FITTINGS WHICH HE CLAIMS WERE INCORRECT, MR *** WAS INFORMED THAT THE SAID FITTINGS HAD TO BE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED WITH CRUSH WASHERSI BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE THE RIGHT ADAPTERSTIPPICLY THE TRANSMISSION HAS ITS ADAPTERS INSTALLED BUT THIS TRANSMISSION WAS BOUGHT WITHOUT, WE WERE NOT INFORMED OF YEAR KIND OR THE AFTER MARKET TRANMISSION THAT HE WAS USING
THE TRANSMISSION LINES WERE NOT ATTATCHED AS PER HIS INSTRUCTIONS TO US, SO AGIAN THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN NEEDING TO BE ATTATCHED TO THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLYWHICH HE WAS AWARE OF
THERE WERE NO HEATER HOSES N THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME IT WAS HERE MAKING IT HARD FOR US TO UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY WERE TO GO, AGAIN LACK OF PREPARATION ON MR***'S PART BEING BLAMED ON ME
ALL THIS BEING SAID, WE ARE DISSAPPOINTED WHEN ANY CUSTOMER HAS A COMPLAINTMR *** HAS NOT CONTACTED ME ABOUT HIS PROBLEM AND I WAS UNAWARE OF ANY DISSSATIFACTION ON HIS PARTI AM WILLING TO REUFND A SMALL PORTION OF HIS COST JUST TO HELP THE SITUATIONI FEEL I HAVE PREFORMED MY SERVICES IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AND KEPT HIS VEHICLE STORED INSIDE UNTIL HE PICKED IT UP AND FULFILLED HIS SPOKEN REQUESTS TO ME
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I went to his shop because he is the professional and should know how to do the jobI am NOT the professional, and yes, I did ask him for his best judgment, assuming he knew what to do! And I gave him input as to how I wanted it
In response to his statement, the following is a true insight on this projectThe bed was mounted on the truck, but had no floor in it, so he had direct access to the tank and to the frameAs far as the lines being crossed, that was not due to inadequate working space to do the job rightAnd as far as clamping it, he mentioned I should clamp it to save money on the billAs far as the truck being dismantled, this has no bearing on the making and the proper installation of said linesThey were not installed properly or professionally
As stated in my in my complaint, I instructed him how I wanted the fuel line to come off the carburetor to the frame and this was not doneAnd he cut my line, which I told him not to use
I will agree to pay that $for the power steering hoses he installed
In response to the statement regarding fuel regulator, I told him where I wanted it mountedI left it up to his discretion how to mount it where I wanted itI did not request or indicate to him that I wanted it mounted near the exhaust pipeAnd the engine fuel line was totally not what I requested and once again, it was up to his discretion to mount it how I wanted itAs far as the engine fuel line, it was totally wrong and not what I directed him to do
The original estimate was for $No further communication was conducted between this shop and myself, and I had no knowledge that the cost would exceed $I never received a call from this shop and this statement he made is completely false
Once again I do not feel I am responsible for his overage on the $That is his fault for giving me that quoteThe truck was up in the air on a hoist, and it sat there for days before he even looked at itWhen I am given as estimate on a job, I don't care if it takes people to do the job, if that was the estimateFurthermore, please note that ***'s *** clearly stated there was no problem with the truck bed being on the truck whatsoever
In response to the transmission fittings, he is the expertHe should have known they were the wrong fittings that he installedThe correct fittings were metricThe ones he installed were standard fittingsIt was lucky he did not strip out the transmission casing, which would have meant a transmission removal and replacement, which cost me $to replace***'s *** also stated they were the wrong fittings
In response to the transmission lines not being attached, they were not made correctly to begin with so I could attach them, making them totally uselessOnce again, as a professional he should have known not to have the lines laying on the exhaust and on the starterAnd the way he made them, I could not reposition them or mount themI'll give him back the linesI'll give him back all lines as I cannot use them, nor can ***'s *** use them
My response is that he can have back all the lines and fittings and I will pay $for the power steering line adjustment that was mentioned above, and any fittings that can be reusedThe truck was not "stored" because he was working on itWhen I was notified, I immediately picked it up
To summarize, I will return all his parts because they don't work and I will pay $for the power steering line adjustment and will pay $for the miscellaneous fittingsAll lines will be returned because they are useless to ***'s *** who is repairing all the mistakesFurthermore, the credit card company advised me not to discuss with the merchantIn my statement to the credit card company, I would reimburse him for any reusable parts from this job

Re: Case Number XXXX-XXAUG
REBUTTAL LETTER
In response to your request for a rebuttal to the letter received by the merchant, I am herein providing the following information:
First of all, I am deeply offended by the statement he made regarding this being "friendly fraud"My truck has been completely redone at a cost of $2,through ***'s *** You have received that receipt and a statement that the job the merchant did was totally inadequate and unsafeTherefore, why the claim of my attempting "friendly fraud"? I had to pay to have the truck redone!!! What did I receive for nothing, I ask????
I have provided complete details and explained in detail the issues of this merchant's errors in the work he did on my truckHe also attacked my character by saying that I had no mechanical experienceFor the record, I have years aircraft maintenance through the United States Air Force(And furthermore, I received Letters of Commendation from the US President on my work in aircraft maintenance.) I have been working on vehicles since I was 16, which is years! Through that experience I know when gas lines are not routed correctly and installed properly and that these errors could have resulted in leaking fuel and thus a fireBottom line, the job was not done as instructed, and he knows itAll of my statements can be backed up by ***'s *** in Longmont, CO, who just completed the entire rework of this job
Furthermore, per Colorado Law a merchant is supposed to receive written approval to charge any amount over 10% of the original estimateHe never got my approval for the increase and charged me 25% over the original estimate which violates Colorado Law
On the transmission lines, which I provided photos of to *** these were installed incorrectly by using the wrong fittingsThe routings of the lines was a potential fire hazard
I am going to address this specific paragraph from the merchant's letter:
To address the fuel regulator and where the fuel lines were mounted: The fuel line on the
engine was mounted so as to run along the intake manifold to the Bellhousing, then down and across to
the fuel regulatorMr *** has stated he wanted the fuel line at the front of the engineThis was
a more complex mounting and would cost more because of this difficulty
The fact is, the fuel line was not mounted as per instructed (at the front of the engine) and the fuel regulator was not installed on the front inner fenderThis PROVES that this merchant, by his own admission in the paragraph above (see underline), did NOT follow my instructions, whereas ***'s *** did mount and run the fuel lines as instructed, which indicates it can and was done by a professional
The merchant claims I never contacted himThe fact here is that *** instructed me NOT to contact him
By his own statement, copied herein, he stated the job was NOT professionally completed
When the entire job is not professionally completed, and instead the work is split between two parties, you are asking for disappointment
Finally, I previously provided a detailed letter with explanations and I don't feel that I need to go line by line and answer the merchant's bogus insulting claims against meI have done nothing wrong here and I object to being questioned further and furtherI was wronged here and *** has stood by me and told me the case was resolved on September by a letter I received
Final Business Response /* (4000, 26, 2015/12/08) */

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/08/12) */
On 08/08/206 at 1:38pm ET, one of Mylan's Senior Product Safety Specialists spoke with Ms. '*' and documented a full report of her experience. Although Mylan did not identify any problem or defect in its product, free replacement product was...

offered to Ms. '*'. Ms. '*' declined this offer, as her pharmacy has apparently switched her to a different manufacturer's product. At this time, we consider this matter closed and appreciate that the consumer took the time to communicate the issue to Mylan. Thank you.
