Review: An employee of Yates Automotive, who was servicing a customer's vehicle inadvertently drove into my rental vehicle. After exchanging information with the employee, I notified [redacted] and provided them with the information. After being told by [redacted] that they would follow up with Yates for the damages, I assumed Yates would take care of the damages done by their employee. However Yates Automotive denied being responsible for the damages, even after exchanging the information. I assume they took care of the customer's car as my insurance was not notified for any claim. Which makes me certain that they are in fact responsible for the damages to the rental vehicle as well. [redacted] was unable to compel Yates Automotive to pay the approximately $1700 dollars of damage to the vehicle and has in turn come to me to make them whole. This is completely unacceptable. I had to involve my insurance company, pay a deductible of $500 and fees to [redacted] because Yates Automotive failed to be accountable for their admitted actions. Additionally I will have to pay more for my insurance after making this claim that should have been taken care of by Yates AutomotiveDesired Settlement: Yates Automotive should repay [redacted] $830.00 and repay myself $908.68.

To whom it may concern,

On February 8, 2013 one of our employees was pulling out of our service bays. [redacted] came speeding into our lot and was on his cell phone. He hit our employee while backing out of the bay. After reviewing video tapes and the damage sustained to both vehicles we could clearly see that **. [redacted] was at fault. There was damage done to the entire driver’s side of his vehicle and there was only one part of our vehicles bumper damaged which shows that he in fact hit our car and kept on driving. We paid for the repairs to our customer’s vehicle because there was very little damage done, we wanted to get the car right back to our customer and we never heard from any insurance company or rental car company. We advised **. [redacted] to contact the rental car company and this is the first contact we have had since the incident.
