Review: Took a brand new pair of jeans purchased online from [redacted] for $89, to be hemmed approximately 1 inch. Dropped them off on 10/20/14, asked to have them completed on 10/24/14, and they said yes. Arrived lunchtime on 10/24, said item wasn't completed and advised to return on 10/27/14. Returned on 10/29/14, paid ($13), and returned to work. I did not want to carry the hanger and plastic home on the train, so I proceeded to remove from the hanger. I noticed an area close to the bottom of one leg that looked like it was patched. Looked on the inside and saw a small square patch. So, apparently it was damaged while in their hands. I was upset because nothing was said of this when I picked up the item. I returned back to the establishment within the hour to show this to the person working the front desk. She called the owner and I spoke to him. At first he wasn't recognizing my allegations, and my request to be reimbursed for the jeans. The patch would not wear well and end up as a hole in the pants after washings. While I was on the phone, his daughter-in-law came in, and heard the conversation and looked at the pants. She then spoke to the owner, got off the phone and told me that if I come back on Thursday they would give me a check for $89. They also told me they would keep the pants to show the owner and give back to me on Thursday. When I returned on Thursday for the check and the pants I was given the check for $89, but told that I could not have the pants back. The person called the owner and I spoke with him. I told him that I paid the $13 dollars for hemming and that the pants were mine. He then said I could come back the next day and get the $13. He then began accusing me that the jeans had the hole when I brought them in, which was not the case. If they had a hole I would have taken them back to [redacted].Desired Settlement: What I want is my pants back, and the right kind of customer service. He should have apologized, given me the refund of $89 so I can purchase another pair, my #[redacted], and my damaged pants. This is not the type of service that I expect from a business who has placed me at a disadvantage. And then tried to say that the hole was there. I am not a dishonest person. I wouldn't dream of telling a fib!
